Interviews with poets - a book made based from a tv film it seems - the thought behind it all is great, but I guess the live programm was better. As it is, for lovers of poetry, this impresses one as being a very open, multi cultural collection of politically correct minorities more or less. Some of the poetry really does not impress with it's poetic quality but more with the social aspects of it. The collection veers rather toward the social, how poets function in society, how poets from minorities try to sum up the minority experience, a collection less based on pure literary merit. I for one share the political view, the liberalism - but when reading poetry I could not care less about the political backdrop. At the end of the day it is all so... nice, so harmless.
