Amazon.co.uk

Suspicion naturally arises when one reads a promo line on a back cover that says, "This is the most important book concerning the Great Pyramid written in the last 20 years". In this case, however, it may be fact. In writing The Giza Power Plant, mechanical engineer Christopher Dunn reverse-engineered the Great Pyramid at Giza to discover its use. His startling conclusions blow the heck out of traditional Eygptology's rather silly notions that it was built with copper tools by a society that lacked the wheel. While revisionist pyramid studies are rife with ridiculous theories that give the topic a bad name, The Giza Power Plant takes into account existing fact and artefact without having to rely on unprovable assertion to work. A must-read for truth seekers who aren't afraid to think outside the box and are willing to consider the idea that Western culture of the 21st century may not be the pinnacle of human evolution and achievement. --P Randall Cohan

90% of the book was quite solid, scientific literature. This is the first real attempt to apply truly rational tests as to the function and form of the Great Pyramid. This subject could definitely be expounded upon.

A couple of weak points revolving around Cayce, magnetic elevation, stellar radiation, and laser transmission could have been shored up a bit more.

What I would like to see is an incorporation of some of LaViolettes ideas about galactic superwaves and radiation bombardment into his part on the explosion and destruction of the various pyramids.

Also, I would like to have heard more about the scientific communities reaction to magnetizing stone, and how realistic is. Have there been any tests? Why is it such a mystery?

In general, an engaging read and refreshing when compared to all the other New Age hype.

This well-presented information makes available the opportunity to explore the possibilities of advanced civilizations in pre-history. The evidence is staring us in the face if we just know what to look for. Mr. Dunn gives us facts supported by research, while stating that his theories are just that, and that he welcomes further research, debate, information and input. His book is refreshing and enlightening. His theory is plausible, well-supported, exciting and a welcome change to the implausible, unsupportable tomb theory. (I never did buy that one, anyway.)I wish Mr. Dunn the best in his on-going efforts, and recommend this book to all seekers of knowledge and truth. Although it is a bit technical, it is an easy read, and should open many eyes.

This book is certainly the best book I have read on the subject. The theory developed by Mr. Dunn is fascinating and seems reasonable. His integrity as an expert and experienced machinist is indisputable. We have to accept the idea that any civilisation that wants to build "something" must have a technology which makes sense i.e. it must be feasible. The demonstration of Mr. Dunn suggests with good reason that the simplistic hypothesis made by some egyptologists that the pyramid was built using primitive methods is based on no evidence and has not been experimented with success. I was amazed with the degree of precision with which the pyramid of Giza was built. The proposed model might not explain exactly the purpose of the pyramid of Giza but I'm sure it goes in the right direction.

I still have a few points to raise such as:

Why is there so many stones lying around the site? When we build a structure, we usually clean the surroundings afterwards. Is it because the purpose of the pyramid was purely functional and the activity of embellishing the site seemed unnecessary?

What is the functional purpose of the perfect alignment of the shafts to Sirius and the belt of Orion? This alignment was well explained in the book "The Orion Mystery" by Robert Bauval and Adrian Gilbert. Could it be that the energy generation of the Giza power plant was aimed at other things than only providing local power of some sort? Could it be that this power has also been used to transmit or capture messages; for communication?

On advanced machining, Mr. Dunn demonstrates that the feedrate of the drill used for drilling granite by ancient egyptians is five hundred times greater or deeper per revolution than modern drills. In addition, in chapter six we read the fascinating story of the Coral Castle mystery. One of the hypothesis is that Edward Leedskalnin altered the state of the stone using some electromagnetism technique to make it levitate. Could it be that this "altered state" made the stone "softer" and the drilling faster?
