This is the manga adaptation of the acclaimed anime film! Makoto Konno is having one of those days. While performing an errand for her mother, Makoto loses the brakes on her bike and barrels headlong down the street into an oncoming train. This book was just as intriguing as the movie! Of course I HAD to buy the movie once I saw a bit of it online...
I thought "Hm, that seems interesting..." and then I put the file aside. WHAT was I thinking?!
Haha, when I finally saw it - and laughed as well as cried the way I do with good movies (this had it all)-
I needed to get it! And to find out there was a manga too??!! *falls on the floor* o.O
Though the book gave me more questions towards it's end it does NOT diminish my hopes that Makoto and Chiaki will get their happily-ever-after ^_^
*sigh* It makes a romantic like myself wish I could have what they have ;)
I'm getting ahead of myself.....
Although I prefer the movie, if you are a free-thinking spirit and are open to other parts of the story not shown in the movie-
try the book! I've always known and said that "the book is better than the movie"....
However, I actually prefer the movie on this one. Read it! Watch it! Love it! I- obviously- do! ^_^
