I also wanted to give this book a higher rating. It is obvious that the author has years of pain and experience invested in this book however the writing style left me confused at times and frustrated at others. I can see the pain involved in infidelity and also the fear and depression it brings to families but I can't help but wonder how the wife ( in this story) is always such a nobel saint. It seemed a bit too unbalanced or one-sided to be believable... I read the book until the very end because I thought it would have a happy ending. I was curious as to the outcome. The end of the book seemed more of an afterthought. I would have liked to know more about how or if the marriage was healed.

I read this book on my new kindle fire. Having broken marriages myself. I was very interested her story. It was hard to figure out in what person this novella was written. At sometimes it seemed to be the author and others it seemed to be another person or a third party. Besides that, Faith didn't realize, that she was emasculating her husband over the years. She had to have control over everything. I have seen woman like that in real life. The part where she askes Les to fix the earphones, he was guilty she claimed. No matter what Les did he would have another motive. This is a book about a woman who deludes herself about who she is and and denies what responsiblity that is hers for her failed marriage. Being married myself to an abusive man, I would like to know from the author, is she only allowed to be happy, not Les. I didn't see anyone asking Les, what was going on. This is truly only about one person-Faith and Faiths happiness-very selfish.

This book was painful to read. Not just because the protagonist is facing infidelity and divorce, but because the writing style jumps between journal entries in the first person and narration in the third. It has huge gaps, and didn't offer any real advice or healing. Please don't waste your time or money.
