The 5S Desktop (PC) Pocket Handbook as this ebook is a bridge for the application of a fundamental Lean tool known as 5S to the Desktop and networking environment. 5S is a methodology for organizing and standardizing information (electronic files, documents, folders, etc.). It is through implementing the five-steps of 5S that one can begin to understand the power of Lean and what it can do for an organization. As with any new concept or application; it should begin with an understanding of the overall premise upon which Lean is built, which is to clearly identify waste (i.e., digital here) and eliminate the root cause of that waste.
