The right balance between practice and theory

My first thought was that the book would be another one recounting anecdotes and stereotypes, which, as soon as you encounter a person(ality) that deviates slightly from the cultural median, turn useless to think about the problem.
However, the seven dimensions turn out to be very helpful thinking about the forming and management of the team, even though they deviate somewhat from the standard dimensions in cultural comparison. After all, culture is what cultural investigation measures, and as such the book offers a very good tool to conceptualize culturally different behaviours in the workplace.
The high readability and anecdotes are a plus.
