I could do OK lettering, but after reading and implementing this book, I can do spectacular lettering! In addition to 50 great alphabets that can be used in every variety of scrapbooking pages, this book also gives detailed instructions on how to flawlessly create them yourself. It goes on to give suggestions on how to place your titles on the page for maximum impact and includes dozens of new scrapbook page ideas. If you prefer heading your pages yourself instead of using a computer, then this is the only book you need! It's so easy to adapt any of the alphabets to your personal needs and tastes.

Don't be mislead by the bland cover -- this is a terrific book ! Each of the alphabets is shown in full, along with two or three samples of the alphabet being used in a scrapbooking page or invitation. AND, the author gives details on how she drew and colored the letters, as well as suggestions for accomplishing different effects. The alphabets and illustrations are classy -- not like some kids were just having fun with pens. Having bought several other books before this one, I say, "This one's the best." I wish I'd known about it FIRST.

I consistently reach for this book when it comes to creating interesting titles in my scrapbook. It is also useful for designing greeting cards, nametags, and other hand lettered items. The variety of fonts allows one to create a mood with the lettering.

This is the best lettering book ever
