For those who only buy plants with pronounceable names, there is an idiot-proof pronouncing dictionary so that, within minutes, names from ACHIMENES to ZEPHYRANTHES will roll off your tongue like that of a learned botanist. If that sounds too intellectually challenging, Chapter 3 provides a back-to-basics straightforward description of how to grow bulbs--for the absolute beginner there is even an illustration of a spade and a hole!

I own five of these books and love each and everyone I hope to get the rest of them. The pictures are great as well as the information on each plant. I started out with nothing in my gardens and now i get people stopping by and saying how nice my yard looks.I recomend these books to everyone instrested in gardening......

The Bulb Expert

This book was prerequisite reading for a flower show school I recently attended. It was wonderful. I love the "Expert" series by Hessayon. They are my Bibles when it comes to gardening. They are well organized with lots of pictures and would be helpful for the novice or expert.

this book also was ordered for my sister who lives in Springfield, Mo and she was very pleased with the condition of the book and also that the book arrived sooner than she had expected. She teaches floral arrangements.
