This book is outstanding. Let me start with that and get into the particulars. My only nitpick is the price tag - I think anything over 25 bucks for a non color roleplaying book is a bit much, but after going through this, I changed my mind... somewhat.
That said.. The art is unbelievable. It is black and white throughout, but unbelievably edgy and evocative. Some roleplaying works rely on large breasted and dimwitted female representations to sell their art.. and I have bought my share.. but this book has none of that. It is a book of demons, and it delivers right down to the core.
This book is NOT, let me add, for juvenile games. Some of the demons are demons of lust, and it goes into the mechanics to roleplay out the acquisition of such a demon.. Very much for adult games.
Another point - thoroughness. This is not just a monstrous manual. This book is a complete history of demons other than Ba'aetzu and Ta'anari, an opposition to them, that allows for a complete plot development between the forces of darkness for your players to attack. The entire book is outstandingly woven together to present a complete tapestry of background information sure to kick of the creative genius in every dm.
Finally, usability. THis book contains challenge ratings from 1/2 to 40, and an index to match - making it completely usable by all players at any level or time. Wanna spin in a sub plot, diversion, or lead into a greater twist later on involving the machinations of those who dwell below? drop in a minor demon devoted to, for example, shuggarebb, and let the rest of it work out later.
Wonderful book, almost worth the price tag.

The Book of Fiends from Green Ronin is an even more deffinative book of fiends than a similar book by WotC. It's actually three books in one. Having purches Legions of Hell and Armies of the Abyss previously, I was initially leery of purchasing this but I bit anyway. And it was even more juicy and sinfully delicious than its predecessors. Do not get this for yourself or for a friend if you find nudity offensive or are too young to view such materials as there is a lot of it. Some of the images can be described only as disturbing but all of it fits the general theme. All the artwork is in Black and White but this works to its advantage as the stark contrast allows for you imagination to "fill in the blanks" as it were. Monsters from the previous volumes I mentioned are updated and their lists expanded. Book of Fiends also includes Hordes of Gehenna, a product that was planned but never actually released. For sheer volume alone the book is almost worth the cover price. But what really brings it home are the classes. There a few prestige classes, and a base class for the vilest of vile characters. The snippet of the Unholy Warrior is just enough of a tease to make you want more and their trestise on the heavenly host is not to be missed. All in all a great book of forces that can raise the maturity level of a given campaign as well as give players more to loath

The Book of Fiends is one of the best collections of creative creatures for a 3.5 game. The Mythology created for the system ties together the 3 races of fiends that have been familiar to D&D fans for years in a way that is twisted and adult. I love the system presented and enjoy using them to create stories that entertain, horrify, and keep my players guessing.
The only thing that could make it any better is if it was converted to Pathfinder.
