This book is very informative on how to live a healthy lifestyle. It does not pound you with fad diets, and quick workouts that are not effective. The information this book contains will help you to understand your body. Our bodies are like machines, and like machines they need fuel; food, proper nutrition, and daily exercise to function properly. The summary gives insight on how proper nourishment and daily movement will help you to feel good.
I like how this summary also gives insight on the industry mass producing the foods we eat and how the nutritional value is not the same as food that comes from our gardens. I like this because I too try to grow as many vegetables and can and freeze them for my family in order to eat as healthy as we can. Eating too much processed food can have a negative impact on our bodies and make us sick. The times we eat and how often are vital to the nourishment of our bodies as well and there is a lot that society has lost along the way by eating out and skipping the sit down home cooked meals because of this face paced society.
This summary gives so much insight on the good and bad of food, proper nutrition, and activity as well as how it affects our overall health. I am going to purchase the full version of this book so that I can read more into this as it is crucial to my health and the health of my children. This is a great read, well summarized, and will give you knowledge that will help you find the path to allowing your body to function a productive and healthier balanced life. Highly Recommended!

The Body Book introduces the world to fitness in a very tangible way. This is a book that is not focused on heavy discipline diets, or anything like that. It does a great job of introducing simple things, nutrition at a primal level. The book talks about nutrition and exercise as a way of allowing the body to absorb natural things.

I liked the book, it featured a lot of real world advice, and it’s written in a down to earth fashion. I love how it doesn’t focus on numbers, or trying to get you to use a calculator and a scale every other day. Instead, it gives you the tools to eat well, and love life. That’s the key here, there’s love in the way it’s presented, and that is why I enjoyed reading this book. I look forward to putting the ideas into practice. I highly recommend this one.

It doesn't make any wild promises about helping you lose 10 pounds in 10 days, but is all about helping improve body and mind for a full life.Considering the books that usually come out of Hollywood circles, this is admirable indeed and thanks for the summary!

If you're looking for a book that inspires positive thinking and action when it comes to your body rather than a diet book that makes lists of off-limits foods and prescribes hours of complicated exercises, this is it. Great read! Necessary knowledge to actually FEED your body what it needs and explains WHY you need the food you need and WHAT kind of foods you need.The final lesson I got from this summary is that Diaz is right, we do need to “sweat a little every day,” just not over being perfect.
