It's hard to believe it's still going strong in this age of the new knitting era. Yet Lopi still has its charm. The wool is fantastic and here we have a good selection of classic Lopi knits. A bit 70's, but it has its own style. This is a beautifully produced hardback book with clear instructions and good photographs.-KarenPlatt.co.uk

Synopsis
The Best of Lopi combines the allure of Iceland, the unique qualities of the native wool, the best Lopi patterns, and the techniques that make knitting a Lopi sweater easy and fun. Lopi is the uniquely lightweight yarn spun in Iceland from the long-coated Icelandic sheep. Generations of knitters have enjoyed the ease of knitting sweaters in this bulky, quick-knitting yarn. Through the years Reynolds/JCA has produced classic and innovative patterns using Lopi and Lopi Lite, a lighter-weight version of the yarn. The Best of Lopi presents a wide range of the most popular and timely of these designs: pullovers, cardigans, jackets, and accessories for men, women, and children. Many use the dramatic color patterns that Icelandic knitting is noted for, others depend on the beauty of the yarn in simple stitchwork. The special flavor of this active-wear is captured in photographs against a backdrop of the island's wind-swept, glacier-capped volcanic landscape.
