Als großer Fan seiner Musik war es mir ein dringendes Bedürfnis seine Biografie zu lesen. Bis ich mich in das Buch eingefunden haben hat es ein wenig gedauert, dann aber habe ich es nicht mehr aus der Hand legen können. Er schildert auf (s)eine sehr ehrliche Art die ganzen Hochs und Tiefs seines Lebens, beschreibt z.B. welche Lieder er wo und warum geschrieben hat. Es hat mich bis zuletzt gefesselt, ich hatte das Gefühl "neben ihm her zu gehen". Ich liebe seine Musik, er ist mir durch das Buch noch näher gekommen......

Eric Clapton hat ein schonungsloses Buch über sich und seine Mitmenschen geschrieben. Man ist gefesselt von der Geschichte die er erzählt, ehrlich bis zum Schmerz der wieder hocj kommt wenn man die Geschichte über den Tod seines Sohnes Conor schildert oder seine Drogen bzw. Alkohol-Sucht.
Er läßt nichts aus, auch seine selbstzerstörerischen Beziehungen zu u.a. Pettie Boyd oder Lori nicht. Carla Bruni kommt nur kurz vor wird aber nicht ausgelassen auch nicht seine Verhältnisse zu anderen Musikern ob nun Positiv oder Negativ er nimmt uns mit in seine Welt.
Mich hat das Buch gefesselt.

Ich kann mich den vorrigen Rezensionen nur anschliessen - ein tolles Buch, dass man nur schwer wieder aus der Hand legen kann!
