Great book for fantasy art afficianados. The authors succeeded in gathering a collection of many of my favorite artists and it is nice to see them all in one place. The artists are given plenty of room to explain their techniques on painting dragons - this is very cool because it makes the book a great reference in addition to the large amount of eye candy/ numerous dragon pics. The authors did a superb job in gathering so many different (and frequently recognizeable) dragon images from so many different sources.
If I was to cite a fault I think for me it would be with the two page spreads. The crease in the book - sometimes in the middle of the image / right through the focal point (i..e. right through the dragon), dampens the enjoyment of an image for me. There aren't a ton of these two page spreads but sometimes they are representative of the artist's best work, and so the crease is annoying in those cases. Not sure if it is the same with the hardback - I opted for the paperback.
Aside from that quibble with the two page spreads, I'm very happy with this book... five stars all the way!
