Kurzbeschreibung

26. Juli 2012
For untold millennia, comets and asteroids have struck fear into the hearts of humankind. Their stark radiance was observed everywhere with a sense of impending doom and interpreted as signs of the gods' judgment, omens of plague, mass destruction and the end of time. Astronomers recorded their appearance the world over, building large scale observatories to track their movements and predict their ominous arrival. What was it about these majestic wonders of the heavens that inspired such dread? Was it simply a product of mere superstition and social hysteria? The latest scientific analysis and historical analysis strongly suggest otherwise. Our ancestors knew something we have since forgotten, their secrets deeply embedded in the archaeological record and the myths passed on throughout generations. And we have only begun to unravel their mysteries ... Spurred by the discovery of a little known letter of warning to the European Office of Aerospace Research and Development by astrophysicist Victor Clube, author Laura Knight-Jadczyk began an in-depth research project to get to the bottom of the very real threat to humanity posed by these celestial visitors. In The Apocalypse: Comets, Asteroids, and Cyclical Catastrophes, Knight-Jadczyk shares what she found: historical evidence for mass destructions, comet-borne plagues, and repeated cover ups littering our past, as well as clues that a similar fate may be fast approaching.

5.0 von 5 Sternen A very timely book, a must read 26. August 2012
Von Many Worlds - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Taschenbuch
This book spells out precisely what every man woman and child needs to know right now about the biggest threat to the world that has ever existed. I say, ever existed, because this particular threat has ALWAYS existed, and has repeatedly changed the face of the planet, literally. There is overwhelming evidence, as presented in this book, that our planet goes through cyclical catastrophes that are, primarily, comet-caused, but which involve such things as massive world-wide floods, crustal displacement, volcanic eruptions, viral pandemics (yes! from comets! think "the black death") and more. There is so much fascinating information in this book, and all of it is impeccably researched, that it can't but leave any reader with some serious questions about where we, as a race, came from and where we are headed.

In short, written in a very accessible format, this is THE book for everyone who wants to understand how best to navigate their way through "2012" and the undoubtedly turbulent years to comes. How many more years will there be? Read the book to find out.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Perfet starting point for laymen and researchers 18. August 2012
Von C. Schink - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Taschenbuch|Von Amazon bestätigter Kauf
This is a very serious read. Laura Knight-Jadczyk has compiled a tremendous account of the historical trauma that the planet has suffered from the tremendous, near life-destroying event of around 12,000 years ago, to the uncountable number of lives lost due to cyclical recurrences of similar phenomena. There is a very useful list of the number of (known and reported) cometary bombardments throughout history, as well as in-depth looks into the impacts these have had on human society.

Laura Knight-Jadczyk manages to tie in modern day celebrations of the dead, paganism, the origins of monotheistic religions, all the while highlighting just how blind we remain to comets and the implications for the future (a stunning indictment on modern day science and politics). It's frightening to see how people who care more about their own power and prestige than the survival of our species continue to turn a blind eye to the evidence that has mounted up before them, and has only been exposed due to the efforts of a small group of dedicated researchers, Laura included. This is an absolutely essential piece of the puzzle. It is not pretty, but it is essential, and with the amount and variety of source material it is the perfect starting point.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Another homerun for investigative research 23. August 2012
Von ColleenE - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Taschenbuch|Von Amazon bestätigter Kauf
Laura Knight-Jadczyk hits another home run for researching what's become a sensational topic, The Apocalypse, in a scientifically investigative manner. Anyone familiar with her previous works will recognize her shrewdness in picking through data, sorting it out, discarding the ridiculous and putting together the remaining pieces from extensive resources and laying out a comprehensive picture. The resulting conclusion is remarkably stranger, and more disconcerting than any end-of-the-world science fiction scenarios.

Laura invites you to challenge her findings and provides a strong list of reference material supporting her conclusions. This comprehensive, compact book can be read as a primer for those interested in understanding the inhabitants of Earth's cyclical progression through "time" using sound scientific methods and helps us move beyond the pervading sensationalism infused in the "End of Days" predictions

This book is not for those who prefer to bury their head in the sand to preserve their ignorant bliss; this book, like all of LJK's book, are for sincere, open-minded, truth-seekers who appreciate scientific evidence and are able to discard previously held beliefs when confronted with contradictory evidence.

Stay away from this book if you don't want your boat rocked.
