Make NO mistake, this might be a useful book if you are a good English speaker but if you are buying it for a Thai person with little or NO English it is of vitually no benefit at all, in my opinion. The problem is in the title. With a title like it has you might expect to see a large number of Thai words, certainly quite a few. Well maybe just a few. Any at all??? Nope: not one!!!!!!! Not a single word at all. Not even one. Zilch. And it calls itself a dictionary. If it had called itself a phonetic dictionary I might have been alerted, but no: I was hooked, lined and sinkered. Amazon, after a 23 minute international phone call offered to refund the carriage charge and cost of book for which I am grateful, but as I needed it in a great hurry it seems an alternative is not available in time. My recommendation? Read ALL the small print in ALL the reviews, or, better still, look at a copy before buying. I had no way of looking at the book before buying from Amazon, so I was reliant on the recommendations. And yes, the information was there if I had taken the trouble to find it: it DID say that there wasn't a word of Thai in it. But how many of us have the time to read all the reviews about all the books that one might be interested in? Fault? Partly mine (but how much Internet phone Bills can one reasonably expect to have to pay??), and partly the publishers. Bad title? Yes, ....but DECEIPTFUL is the way I feel about it. Before buying, make sure you have a very good grasp of the English language.
