I bought this primarily for the grill function (for making panini), but am pleased to say that all 3 of the functions available work very well.
The machine heats up quickly, the various plates are easy to put in and remove again, which makes it much simpler to clean.
The toasted sandwiches were perfectly done, lightly crispy and brown on the outside, cheese melted on the inside with well-sealed sides and no leaking filling.
The grill function made great panini, using a variety of breads and tortilla wraps, which featured the customary grill-markings on them.
The waffles were PERFECT, absolutely wondeful. It took a couple of tries to find the right recipe, but once we did, they were great.
There is no recipe included with the instructions, so here (if anyone is interested) is the one that we used:
* 250g flour
* 100 - 150g sugar
* 3 eggs
* 1 pkt baking powder
* 1 pkt vanilla sugar
* 125g melted butter
* 250ml milk.
Mix together melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Mix in dry ingredients and milk until combined well (note: this is a thick batter). Can be kept in fridge until needed.
Makes 12 - 14 waffles.
