I have been using the first print of this book, titled Teach Yourself Icelandic, and it is an excellent course. I saw and ordered this one titled Complete Icelandic when I was on the final chapter (Chapter 16) of my first book. I was so excited to continue my learning, since this one claimed to be 24 chapters, and the book cover itself claims that you can "test yourself and learn more online..." Well if there is more online at [...], I sure cannot find it. In addition, it is the same exact 16 chapters as the previous book. They have added a Summary to each chapter, which looks somewhat handy, and updated the fonts and styles being used, but nothing really new has been added. The CDs are EXACTLY the same, and the tracks are still labeled "Teach Yourself."

All that complaining aside, this is a great book/CD combo for any beginner who wants to learn Icelandic and who likes to understand grammar in fair detail. If you own Teach Yourself Icelandic, you already have this one. :)

I have had ths book/CD for one month and I can hold a basic conversation with my boyfriend who is from Iceland. Very easy to use and fast to learn. I have used others and this one is the best...by far. I suggest listening to the CD while reading the book.

The product is excellent, it contains all that promises! The product arrived even earlier than expected, so I could start reading the book listening the CD's even after than promised.
