The booklet, which fits into every pocket, contains Grammar, common sentences divided into groups (meeting people, getting around,...), a 2-way-dictionary and interesting details on East African culture and people. It is apt for tourists, who enjoy speaking a couple of words in the native language of the country they visit. To expect being a professional Kiswahili speaker after working through this booklet is too much to ask, though. But it was never intended that way. It is easy to look up common phrases and it smoothes the first encounters with the foreign people. For this, the booklet is great. For more, I'd refer you to the book "Simplified Swahili" by P. Wilson.
