Marcia Jones Cross has spent her professional career as a public relations manager and practitioner primarily at colleges and universities across the country. Since her childhood, Marcia has had a passion for writing poetry and short stories, some of which have been published in literary publications. "Survival in a Sea of White" is Marcia's first published novel. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Marcia earned a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Clark Atlanta University and a master's degree in Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is married to Barry Cross and they are the parents of two children, Evan and Dawn. Marcia resides in Riverdale, Georgia where she does freelance writing and public relations work.
