Ich habe mir dieses Buch gekauft, weil ich sehr interessiert an gesunden Lebensmittel bin. Da ich Anregungen gesucht habe, um diese Superfoods zu verarbeiten, bin ich auf dieses Buch gestoßen.
Das Buch beginnt mit der Erklärung, was überhaupt "Superfoods" sind und stellt diese dann vor.
Es beinhaltet sehr viele Rezepte, die alle vegan und überwiegend roh sind. Die Rezepte, die ich bis jetzt nachgekocht habe, schmeckten alle köstlich. Begeistert bin ich auch von der großen Auswahl an Rezepten für das Frühstück, die alle keinen Zucker enthalten.
Man sollte sich bewusst sein, dass man für die Anschaffung aller Zutaten zuerst etwas Geld ausgeben muss, allerdings sind diese sehr ergiebig und von hervorragender Qualität.

Für mich ist dieses Kochbuch das beste, das ich habe und kann es jeden nur empfehlen

SUPER!!! This is my new favorite book, i just received my copy and cooked up 2 dishes last night for my sisters, and we are now all hooked.
I've been eating vegan and cooking with superfoods for years now, and now finally there is book that addresses all the wonderful Superfoods we've been seeing appear on the shelves of our local natural foods market, that we have no idea what to do with. I always found myself experimenting and buying a $10 bag of some superfood just to try it and see what it was about, but after snacking on it by itself, which was usually delicious, i still got a little board. Well here's a book that explains each Superfood, and gives you heeps of recipes to use them in. Now i no longer have to buy a bag of some obscure Superfood to just use 1 tsp because i can now turn it into breakfast, lunch, dinner, a snack, desert or even a drink. Also It's not just a cookbook, it's a guide. The Author Julie Morris, enlightens and educates the reader on why these Superfoods are important, how the way we eat can protect us from the rise in chronic disease and the relationship between the two, how to break habits (based on her own personal experience), loads of nutritional information as well as smart kitchen techniques.

So Far i've tried the Quinoa With Secret Pesto & Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Sacha Inchi Buckeyes! I'm just gonna say that the only reason i'm not making these every night this week is that i want to try other recipes in the book. Wows, Mmmmmmm's and Nom Nom Noms were all i heard from me and my sisters until nothing was left. I might just have to close my eyes and pick a page to make deciding on the next recipe easier. All her recipes have this wonderful creativeness to them, and her words are written as if she's talking right to you, making you laugh and exciting your taste buds.

If you eat food this book is for you.

I am finishing up my natural food chef training (it was on my bucket list), and spotted this book yesterday. We learned a little about superfoods, and made a few recipes that used some of them, but that was about it. So a huge thank you to Julie Morris, for writing such a terrific book about Superfoods. Morris explains what a superfood is, why we need nutrient dense foods, and how to set up your kitchen, both in equipment and ingredients. I particularly appreciate her extensive explanation of ingredients. For example, what is a Camu Camu Berry, flavor notes for the berry, recommended forms of it, and the use of them. The book features gorgeous photography, which Morris did herself, and a beautiful layout and design, which shows her background in design before becoming a Natural Foods Chef. It would benefit all of us to eat more of these amazing foods and this book presents everything so clearly. The recipes look like they would appeal to just about everyone.

The recipes look fresh, fabulous, and yes, the ingredients might seem strange if you are not used to superfoods. But the whole point is to learn what they are, and how to cook with them. The recipes will appeal to a wide range of people, not just those into 'health foods'. So they will be great to sneak into your spouse's diet or your kids food as well. The ingredient lists contain a special symbol to annotate which of the foods are superfoods. The recipes are arranged as follows:

Breakfasts (Banana Seed Bread, Goldenberry Pancakes, Cinnamon-Almond Granola with Mulberries)
Soups (Roasted Pumpkin Soup, Tomato and Quinoa Soup)
Salads (Hearty Kale Salad, Arugula and Asian Pear Salad with Lemon Camu Vinaigrette)
Entrees (Mediterranean Vegetable Pizza, Black Bean-Hemp Protein Patties, Quinoa with Secret Pesto and Sun-Dried Tomatoes)
Sides (Hemp Hummus, Olive Caviar)
Snacks (Energizer Trail Mix, Chocolate Hemp and Oat Bars)
Sweets (Acai Berry Truffles, Raw Chocolate, Acai Berry Cheesecake)
Drinks (Antioxidant Paradise Smoothie, Chocolate Berry Protein Shake)

Then there are extra (helpful) sections, such as Charts (like the Superfood Substitution Cheat Sheet), and an Ingredient Resources Guide. I would not be surprised if the natural foods cooking schools ended up using this as a text and creating a new section specifically on the topic of Superfoods. Well done Julie Morris!

I bought this book the minute Julie announced it on her website! It is by far the very best cookbook I have ever read or used! The recipes are delicious and the text has inspired me into a conscious and deliberate quest for a life free from mainstream "food." Yes, the ingredients can not be bought at your local corner mart, however, your health is more important than that convenience... Shop the easy online sources provided at the end of the book and before you know it, you will have everything you need to enjoy each and every unique recipe! Embrace a knew way to nourish yourself and your family. Educate yourself to better Health.

Love the breadth and depth of this cookbook! Everything from black bean burgers to macaroons and cupcakes. This book really makes it easy to whip up delicious plant-based and vegan meals that even your carnivorous friends will enjoy. Definitely recommend! (plus the pictures are great!)

I have been looking on ways to dress up my meals . For the past 15+years I have been stuck in this easy to prepare processed food and them moved on to home made stuff , mostly comfort food. This past year I felt that my body is changing and really just wanted to start eating better to increase energy . So when I read the discription and reviews for this book I just needed to purchase it. I love and hope to create most of the recipes in this book. The reason for the 4 stars is because of the not so readily available ingredients to her recipes. Not the fault of the author , it is just where I live. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a little diversity form the norm.
