I started going to the gym without knowing very well what I was doing and I was still doing well until I got overconfident and ended up damaging my knees from too much weight and training. Now I want to go back but before that I decided to learn more and so I got this book.

I have read another book form this author and I liked how the book was put together, and it is the same for this one, the book was well structured and there were no grammatical errors I could notice while I was reading it, this book covers everything from diet, to actual workouts and things to do when you are not lifting.

I really enjoyed this book and how Chase Brown puts it all together. He explains why strength is necessary for life overall and how it improves your health and makes your life better. I appreciated how he included that you need to plan for all aspects, such as what you eat, what your workout plan is, etc. He not only included strength training but how to lose body fat as well. He makes a great outline on how to achieve overall success in your strength training routine, instead of just going to the gym and guessing at it. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is kind of floundering at the gym but doesn't want to hire a personal trainer.

In reading this book I learned the four main exercises that build strength only to realize that I have not been doing any of them. I am glad I learned this now and will definitely be incorporating them into my workout. This is a straightforward read that introduces you to the exercises that build strength as well as how to gauge your progress along the way. To get the maximum results from the book, I recommend going through and highlighting the exercises you are confident that you can begin with. Then, create a routine that you can work into your current exercise regime.

Not much content here - much of what is here consists of platitudes and nonsense. The book is also extremely poorly written (English as a second or third language?). I suspect that it was probably written in a single sitting with no editing. It contains lots and lots of nonsensical sentences. there is actually nothing useful about how to do any exercises. It's pretty worthless, even at the low price. I'm deleting as soon as I'm done here so it won't waste space on my iPad.

This book is extremely useful for anyone who wants to strengthen their body, but has no idea how to start. Chase Brown takes you step by step and explains the various aspects of strength training and what it all means. The short chapters and catchy phrases make this a quick, but valuable read. Instead of feeling lost and slightly confused during your trips to the gym, you can stride in with confidence after reading this book.
