If you look at my reviews, you'll see that they are limited to Lauren Bertolacci's products, the reason for this is that her products are the only products that I'm passionate enough about to take the time to write a review. This is a gentle and effective program that will afford beginners the ability to “get in the habit” of exercise. It requires a minimum commitment of time and physical prowess and can effectively produce a significant result. The exercises are described in great detail. Photos are included as well as video links to allow an “up close” view. The program is thorough and features strategy for completing the 4-week plan, as well as forms for logging and measuring results. Important information on mobility and recovery is also included which helps to insure a well rounded and injury free approach. This program was designed for individuals to complete in the privacy of their homes with basically no “gym equipment” - a valuable option for many that may feel intimidated by the gym scene. Lauren’s workouts are “doable”, do not take much time, and motivate. She has provided contact information for those interested in moving forward after completion of the program ….hoping that will be a large number.
A Smart Start is a very good place to start!

Enjoyed this book…have been following Lauren’s Fitness program for a little over a year and think it’s terrific. Once again a great job!

This would have to have the most common sense approach to beginners fitness I have read in a long time. It start with the basics and does not assume that everyone is super flexible. Being time poor, this approach is ideal for beginners and using the realistic tracking sheet will help me keep on track. Thanks Lauren for a great book for beginners
