Really, don't be so hard on K.W.Jeter, the autor of this book. This is really a good book. He does a good job of continuing Boba Fett's story after his slightly dull "death" in "The return of the Jedi". After blowing up the Sarlacc of Carkoon and crawling out of its gut, he is saved by a passing bounty hunter, Dengar. While Dengar and a mind-wiped dancing girl, Neelah, nurse him back to health, the story gets suplemented by flashbacks, which turn out to make up half of the book. These date back to the time of "A new hope", which is interesting, if you want to know what Boba has been doing all this time. Problem is, he gets caught in a complicated plot to destroy the Bounty Hunter Guild. A good story developes, with plenty of action.
The only downside: Fett, on one hand keeps being portrayed as a cold, calculting superhuman, on the other, though, becomes a pawn in other people's political games and sometimes seems to be just as mortal as everyone else. All-in-all, a must-read for Baba Fett fans, who can understand a complex story that requires reading the sequels.
