I love these books. I first read "Cinderella: Ninja Warrior", and found it fantastic. "Sleeping Beauty: Vampire Slayer" is just as great. Both books are from the Twisted Tales series, where you are given several choices for the story to lead. I must admit, I would rather have read a straight storyline, with an ereader it is difficult to jump around within the book. I choose to read this book straight through, which messed up the time-line, but I wanted read every line. This books was so well written, you really rooted for the Princess. Cursed from birth by an evil queen, Princess Lucette is not a typical weak and wimpy victim, this Princess knows that she must fight to save herself from the curse. She goes through great personal pain and hardship to learn how to protect herself and her family, ultimately saving not just herself but also her kingdom. I love how this is written like the traditional fairy tale, with Kings and Queens, castles and all the usual fairy tale trappings, but a strong, powerful Princess takes center stage. For me to live happily ever after I hope that more Twisted Tales are in the works.
