Kurzbeschreibung
IN A NUTSHELL: "While You Were Sleeping" meets "Memento."
BOOK DESCRIPTION:
Sure, Claire Beau thought about sleeping with her doctor. With his moss green eyes and sexy petulance, neurologist Brendan Charmant is definitely worth fantasizing about. But she didn’t actually do it…did she?
Claire should be able to answer this simple question, but she has no idea. The only thing she knows for sure is that she met him in a sleep lab for an appointment one day, and woke up at home seven weeks later to find that he’s suddenly her loving boyfriend instead of her cold and remote doctor. According to Brendan, her brother and all their friends, Claire is in the middle of a whirlwind love affair with him, a claim bolstered by the weeks of steamy emails and text messages the two of them have exchanged. But to Claire, he's just the arrogant doctor with only a passing interest in finding a diagnosis for her debilitating symptoms.
Claire Beau is afflicted with “Sleeping Beauty Syndrome,” a mysterious disorder that causes her to sleep for days at a time, and black out for entire weeks. Dr. Brendan Charmant might have given her the best night (or two, or three) of her life, but she has no memory of ever seeing him out of his white coat. Still, she can’t help finding herself more than willing to fall for him (again). After all, doesn’t every girl deserve a Prince Charming?
But when Brendan’s arrested, and she discovers that she’s the alleged victim of a heinous crime that she can’t recall, she realizes that sometimes the best way to make your dreams come true is to just stay asleep. So why is she risking everything to save both of them from this hellish, waking nightmare?
PRAISE FOR SLEEPING BEAUTY:
"As an author of fairy tale-inspired novels myself, Sleeping Beauty was a delightful mix of sweet and sour, happy and sad, twists and turns, with a magical ending that practically sings: 'And they lived happily ever after!' An absolute pleasure." -Barbara Silkstone, bestselling author of THE SECRET DIARY OF ALICE IN WONDERLAND, AGE 42 AND THREE-QUARTERS and WENDY AND THE LOST BOYS
***NOTE TO READERS***
This is the original SLEEPING BEAUTY, published in September 2011.
In April 2012, in response to readers who desired a different outcome, I wrote SLEEPING BEAUTY WAKES UP! What is it? Well, it's the same plot idea with one, small, seemingly insignificant change in Chapter 11 that causes the story to naturally cascade in a different direction with a drastically (for romance) different ending.
If you get to the end of this novel and are dissatisfied with the outcome, you're welcome to read SLEEPING BEAUTY WAKES UP! available here: http://www.amazon.com/Sleeping-ALTERNATE-Romantic-Suspense-ebook/dp/B007SX896E/ref=sr_1_4?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1334988581&sr=1-4
