This is a lovely litte fairy tale - a story just too good to be true. When we meet Claire, she is a top celebrity journalist in an office with Margaret, her boss and editor-in-chief who seems to have no clue, "the triplets" Sidra, Sally and Samantha, three co-workers who try to make her life in and out of the office hell and Wendy her co-worker and best friend. Claire has a couple of assignements on her desk i.e.: "Ten reasons to have a one-night-stand" and then an interview with Hollywood's no 1 movie star Cole Brannon. Her love life is at it's all time low - her boyfriend is a novelist (at least that's what he keeps telling her), who needs to stay at home and write and Claire does everything she can to help and assist him. She works long evenings and when she comes home he's either too tired or already asleep when she is thinking about a little action in their bedroom. However, she hopes he will propose to her shortly.
When the day of the interview with Cole Brannon comes (of course on a Saturday morning, when she had intended to have some private time with Tom, her boyfriend), she meets the nicest man she's ever met in her life for brunch, low key, friendly, beautiful. On top of that the interview runs better than expected and she can write it up afterwords in her office in no time, arriving home earlier than planned. What a bugger...she finds her boyfriend in bed with another woman and from there on her life seems in turmoil.
She coincidentally meets Cole Brannon the same evening in a little bar and gets so drunk, that he takes her to his hotel to spend the night. When she wakes up the next morning, this guy is being so friendly to her and she is so ashamed that she just wants to leave. Cole turns out to be the real gentleman and grabs her some food and follows her out to the taxi. Sure enough they are being seen and photographed...
