You'll realize how much you do have after reading Sutton's story. From living in his car and having almost nothing to his name he was still able to express gratitude.
It starts off pretty hopeless for him, but when gratitude is added everything starts to change.

I enjoyed this book very much. The struggles of a man going from a life of drinking and addiction, hitting rock bottom with the loss of everything of material value, to a rebirth, transformation and a life of personal responsibility. The story is very up lifting and well written, it will keep you turning page after page. It left me hoping there will be a second book so I can see how Sutton has continued on with his life.

HASH(0x98489e70) von 5 Sternen Honest, Compelling, Redemptive 14. Januar 2012
Von Henry Matlock - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Taschenbuch
You Can Sleep In Your Car, But You Can't Drive Your House To Work is a true story of a man who overcame the tough consequences of several poor choices he had made earlier in life. Sutton Parks gives a no-holds-barred account of his life that was full of potential but went south pretty quickly after he allowed his temper and his addiction to dictate his decision making.

The reader can actually feel what it must have been like to have a comfortable lifestyle, and then become jobless, go into foreclosure, lose your home and be forced to make it day by day the best way you can without the comfort and security of an income or a residence. Sutton is skillful in painting a picture of going through his lowest lows, and also in guiding the reader along his path to redemption.

The book is a short read and easy to take in all at once. The book contains some profanity peppered throughout. However, profanity was not used to a gratuitous extent, as it served only to take the reader along on the journey which Sutton himself traveled. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and am grateful for Sutton so candidly sharing his story.

(Disclosure: Although I have not met Sutton in person, we have developed something of a friendship over the past several months through an online writer's community to which we both belong. This honest review is based on the ebook that preceeded this publication.)

HASH(0x97ffb714) von 5 Sternen Well Worth Your Time and Money! 13. Januar 2012

Sutton Parks is doing a lot better today than he was a few years ago. This is a true success story, not because he's now a millionaire (he's not...yet!).

It's a true success story because it's TRUE and because Sutton has overcome the habits that drove him into failure and nearly death. More importantly, he walks you through his recovery and victory using techniques that anyone can use to live a better life.

This is a very personal story and Sutton does a remarkable job of sharing very intimate details with a unique storytelling style that sucks you into his world immediately. It was very hard to put down!

(Note: Sutton is a new friend of mine who I've met once and he gave me an autographed copy of his book, yet I didn't know more than 1% of the content at the time. I now want to know him better!)
