This is a great book for troubleshooting settleability problems in activated sludge processes. It is easy to read and understand. It takes all of the best information from the most expensive references, such as MOP-11 by WEF and the "Wastewater Bible" as I call it from Metcalf & Eddy and translates it into material that a plant operator can read in one or two days and be able to make process changes immediately to help solve the problems they are experiencing. Even a most seasoned operator will find this book to be a great reveiw for thoses subtle details that we forget about when our plants are operating well and I highly recommend it for anyone just getting into the wastewater field or anyone interested in how the biological section of wastewater plants work.
