Not a real 3D film, I would ask for your money back
am 22. August 2011
I am a UK stereographer working on 3D films and I am noticing that an increasing amount of non 3D is starting to appear in Germany, to our German friend's across the channel I say, be very aware of these 2D films that are being released on a Blu-ray 3D disk with no 3d whatsoever, all they do is place the 2D frame slightly back into your 3D TV, so you end up looking at a flat 2D image inside your TV screen, This is a total con, distributors trying to deceive the public into thinking they are buying a 3D disk, I would suggest you all be very careful in your future purchasing, look on IMDB.com under technical specs to check if the film was originally filmed in 2 camera stereoscopic 3D. get educated in knowing what is real 3D by searching info on Google etc. or go to [...] Some of the latest films like Narnia are converted quite well from 2D to 3D, this takes months of painstaking work, these are still not as good as real 3D so these films are not what I am talking about, the films like Serengeti are just plane rip offs with no attempt to convert to 3D and should be banned, Amazon and other sellers should not even be listing such products, if this was a food item listed with the wrong ingredients or a 40 inch Plasma TV being sold and described as a 50 inch then there would be many complaints. So why is this any different is there no consumer protection here, does the Blu-ray 3D logo mean nothing, I thought it was a sign of quality meaning that the content on this Blu-ray 3D disk is in fact 3D. Finally I suggest that you ask for your money back if you have already purchased one of these disks, I Hope this helps save you a lot of disappointment.
