Jenny Joseph is famous for her poem, Warning: When I Am an Old Woman I Shall Wear Purple - and I read somewhere that as famous as that poem is, it's a shame that her other works are not as well known. I like collections so I bought this. It's a dense, rich read - you dip in and out, a poem here, a quiet moment filled there... I like her voice very much and like what she choses to write about (more domestic regrets or possibilities than anything else) and am enjoying this volume.
Lately everything I buy in on Kindle, but for poetry I really do prefer the printed option, and am happy to have found this thoughtful and charming collection
