The production on this book is exquisite and rarely seen in contemporary books. The selections and artwork make this book an excellent gift for both children and adults. Definitely a collectible.

Again, like Evans' Princess Stories and Animal Stories collections, the selections here are NOT that great. The colors in the pictures are not quite true. I have compared many of the pictures side by side with more expensive collections which I own, and they fall short. The pictures, especially the ones with the most subtle colors, tend to look grayish or greenish. Buy this for the good stories but NOT the pictures.
