Too hard for the beginner and too easy for the deep geek. But if you're like me who belongs to the middle, who has read a lot of online tutorials and don't understand the whole picture then this book is worth getting.
You won't really learn much about doing real networking here since they don't try to get really technical. Meant for those who would just like to talk about TCP/IP with their peers. This book isn't very detail, but what could you expect in 24 hours?
Just look for the RFCs after reading this book.

covering the most relevant and implementations of TCP/IP, with consistent reference to the fundamental building blocks that have made this protocol stack define its legacy as the underlying driver of the phenomenon (internet) that has forever changed the way we communicate' thank Joe and the Sams Publishing Team for compiling yet another truly valuable title

As the world becomes more and more reliant on the internet, it is essential to understand how it works. Those who have a firm grasp on tcp/ip basics will love this book and you will learn A LOT. For absolute beginners try getting one of those "dummies" books on how the internet works first, and then graduate to this one. Well worth it.

Format:Taschenbuch
This book is an excellent resource for people who have a little experience with networking or internetworking and want to begin to expand their understanding of TCP/IP. If you're like me and want to get a grasp on the basics before jumping into some serious routing / internetworking topics, you'll find this book essential reading.
