I received this teapot about 10 days ago. I absolutely adore the retro design and the size is just perfect. However, when filled with about one litre of tea, pouring the first mug is a disaster. The shape of the nozzle makes a good portion of the tea spill. You always need to hold a towel to the pot when pouring the first mug. After that, spillage is just the usual drop or two. Furthermore, when the teapot arrived, the wooden lid felt untreated - or certainly not treated enough to allow handling with hot fluids. So I treated it twice with olive oil before the first use. Despite that, the underside felt rough after the first use. There are small splinters which would actually require sanding. Now, after maybe a week in use, the lid starts cracking in two places. It is definitely not fit to cover hot pots of tea - which it should be considering that this sells as s tea pot not a jug!
I only rated it with as much as two stars, because I like the design so much.
