A must read for any seeker.

Many times I thought of writing a review of a book/dvd on Amazon. This is the first time I am actually writing one.
I have been a seeker all my life. In search of answers, I moved away from the religion of my parents, started off with arts, switched to sciences and ended up in spirituality. Spirituality happened last because of my wariness of organized spirituality and gurus. Even when it happened, I quickly formed notions on how an ideal guide will be - someone like Ramakrishna, or Ramana - with minimal trappings of materialism, dishing out pure wisdom with detachment, in some idyllic setting.
I came across Sadhguru's interview few years back, and dismissed him as another Osho-wannabe. I wish this book was available then. It would have prevented the years of desperate search, and seeking that followed. The author is a seeker herself, and she echoes many of the questions that a skeptical seeker will have. The answers are illuminating, and chips away at one's constructs about gurus, and spirituality.
Irrespective of the price, this is a must read for all seekers. Other recommended resources are - Mystic's Musings (book), and Isha Foundation's youtube page. A video intro of the book is available on youtube.

This is the extraordinary story of sadhguru jaggi vasudev, the mystic. Mind blowing, magical, amazing, extraordinary, unbelievable but true, fantastic, phenomenal and whatever superlative words are there in english we can put that. This story is that good. I was a bit fooled by the first 25 pages which were a bit slow, then the book takes off like a rocket. This book will put a hollywood thriller to shame. Even people not familiar with sadhguru will definitely enjoy this fantastic story. And if we are positive and receptive it will open up a huge possibility. We come to know of the determination, courage, sacrifice, ruthlessness, compassion of sadhguru for the benefit of humanity. whether we are a spiritual seeker or not if we read english this book is for us. Must read.

This book will shake you from the core

This book will sure shake your foundations and touch boundaries of your logical thinking. It takes you through a fantastic voyage of Sadhguru's life so far, exploring mystical aspects which some times hit you really hard and forces you to reflect on a very superficial life we seem to live. Although I have read other books by Sadhguru, it still made me pause very frequently with disbelief. I just keep discovering my own ignorance on every page. As usual, the clarity of what Sadhguru says is almost unquestionable and you relate to it at some level.
For a someone not exposed to ISHA or Sadhguru, some of the situations, described very bluntly in this book, will appear as a work of pure fiction, and this is where it will test your capacity to handle something which you might have discarded earlier as a spiritual mumbo-jumbo. In a strange way, you will have a chance to discover yourself.
I strongly recommend this and all other books by sadhguru (particularly Mystic's Musings) for anyone who is even mildly curious about spirituality.
