This book is originally written by the Frenchman Jules Verne (1873) and later translated in English. There's also a movie about this story.
The main character is Phileas Fogg. He's an inventor and quite ingenious if you ask me. He bet he could travel around the world in eighty days. As he travels around the world, several people join him. Those people sometimes bring him into troubles but sometimes they also help him out of troubles. They get into quite dangerous situations and get nearly killed sometimes.
I think the book is just great! It's a fascinating and adventurous story. Some parts of the book are actually quite funny. When you start reading it you can't stop anymore. The writer perfectly knows how to keep your attention.
All in all I think everybody should read this book, because it is exciting and funny. It isn't a Christian book but the words are decent, no swearing or what so ever. It's suitable for everyone, except for the people that hate travelling.
(this is a review written by a Dutchman so my apologies for my English if I made any mistakes ;)
