5.0 von 5 Sternen Well worth the investment! 23. Oktober 2012
Von Snowqueen
Format:Kindle Edition|Verifizierter Kauf
The first part of the book makes the reader familiar with different concepts of how your life in retirement could look like. With the help of questions and real-life examples, the author manages to portray the different possibilities very clearly. At first, I found it a bit esoterical, but hey, if it helps :-)
The second part of the book gives you hands-on advice on how much money you'll need in retirement and how best to achieve that amount. Of course it is rather shocking to read that 1.000.000 $ will only take you that far, but better know in your thirties and react accordingly than find out when it is too late.

Nicely written, well explained, easy to follow. More than 200 pages, so definitely more substantial than a lot that is around in Kindle eBooks on the topic. I definitely recommend this one!

1.0 von 5 Sternen Very disappointed. 9. Januar 2012
Von RetirementSeeker - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

I had high hopes for this book. The author seemed very practical when I read some of his quotes from a news article, so bought the book online.

I am a down to earth, 50 year old technology worker who has worked hard all my life, invested faithfully in 401ks, etc.. , but very unsure how / when I can retire.

The book has a couple of useful pieces, but in general is a useless overview of financial basics and fails to deliver.

If you are seeking an different answer to the same question ( when / how can I retire without a defined pension), don't waste your time on this book.

P.S. I never write reviews of books but wanted to warn people.

Equity Indexing: The Insurance Industry's Secret Weapon Against Stock-Market Risk
This will challenge your thinking when it comes to retirement. A little too philosophical for me, but still quite good to break the spell of society - work 40 years and someday retire.......to what? I prefer "The 4-Hour Work Week" as it is more of a how-to guide to get where we want to be.

4.0 von 5 Sternen Full of good Information 30. Oktober 2012
Von Author of Hidden Credit Repair Secrets - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Taschenbuch|Verifizierter Kauf
The author recognizes the fact that so many people are looking forward to retiring so that they can finally get to do what they have always wanted to do. The book focuses on four steps that if followed will enable people to create the life they want to live when they retire, today. The first step is to challenge our beliefs, then look at our lives from a holistic sense, next step is to identify what we want our lives to be like and lastly, we have to learn how to manage our financial resources. The book points out that we do not have to wait until our retirement time so that we do what we have always wanted to do. This book will beneficial to all the persons who want to embark on achieving goals they have set without having to wait until they retire. Mark, author od Hidden Credit Repair Secrets

This one is going into my favorite list. It has so much information, that I want to be able to keep as reference. Much of the information was over my head, but I got a real grasp of and understanding of stuff I did nit know. Mr Weber explained in pretty good detail the differences of investment options and using financial advisers. Five stars for this book.
