Overall, they did a much better job on Vol. 2 than on Vol. 1. The text is well written, this time by someone who has a clear grasp of the english language. There aren't nearly as many errors in grammar. The book is also more accurate regarding the details of the characters and story. Best of all, the in-game screenshots are no longer plastered over with Japanese subtitles, like they were in Vol. 1. They are also larger, allowing the reader to better follow along with them in the plot summaries. Wesker's Report is included, something which I've never seen before. There is also a complete timeline showing when every single event takes place in the entire RE saga. The only thing about the book that really disappointed me was the Items section. The pictures for the items found in RE 4 and 5 are way too small, so small that it's pointless to even put the pictures in there. The pics of the RE 4 action figures are blurry, like someone took pictures of the tv screen as someone flipped through the figures in their collection. The action figures for RE 5 look better, but are too small and most of them are not named. I only found a couple of places in the whole book that contained inaccurate or contradictory information. For one, it says that the Los Illuminados Cultists can use Shooting Stars as weapons. Never in my many playthroughs of RE 4 have I had someone throw a Shooting Star at me. Also, there is some disagreement in the book as to what the exact origin of the Novistadors is. In one account, given by Luis Sera, it is stated that the Novistadors originated as humans. In another account, it is stated the Novistadors are the result of experiments on other species besides humans. Personally I believe they are insect in origin, and the game simply never made that very clear.
The coverage of RE: DC and RE: UC isn't as copious as it is for RE 4 and 5. But I'd say if you're a Resident Evil fan definitely pic up this book.
