    These days, and in the world that we live in, it is very easy to lose yourself, as well as your self-confidence, as society forces us to believe that we need to live a certain way, to look a certain way, and be a certain way, to be happy.
    'Love Yourself' is the perfect tool to help us to actually be our own person, regardless what others may think or say, and to be happy. And not just mediocre happy, but really truly happy.
    It has great tips, invaluable advice, which will help anyone rebuild their self-confidence and self-esteem to a point where they will live in true happiness and contentment with themselves.
    I myself am guilty of a few "don'ts" that the author describes, as I think a lot of people are, and I am applying the "do's" to my life as of immediately.
    Beautifully written, but also has that OOMPH to motivate you to get off your ass and improve your life! No-one can do it for you, this is something that only YOU can change, so do it!!
    This guide will improve your life, improve the way you see yourself, the way you think about yourself, and the choices that you make will be better, more productive and will make you unstoppable!

    "Love Yourself" is such a motivational, beautifully-written book. It's the perfect read any time you might be feeling like you need a pick-me-up. Author Barbara Gain describes the importance of self-esteem and confidence, and then shares the factors that can diminish them. Gain writes about helpful hints for overcoming the negative factors in our lives, and ultimately build love for ourselves.

    In order to truly love another, we must love ourselves first. This book is a must-read because it inspires us to rebuild our self-esteem and confidence, thus projecting a more shining and beautiful version of ourselves to everyone around us. Read this and uncover the best possible version of yourself!

    As one who has struggled with self esteem issues since childhood, I found this book to be uplifting and inspiring. Sometimes we forget how to love ourselves and how important that is. This book will help you feel more in control and more grounded within yourself. It is important to understand that sometimes we feel this way because of the way we were raised, and that it can be changed to a more positive feeling. Well written. Thumbs Up!

    Overall, this easy-read book concisely explores the basics of rebuilding your self-esteem and confidence. But I must've missed something--I did not see the connectdion to "Recovering from Control Issues." What are these issues? How do they affect one's confidence and self-esteem? I felt that groundwork needed to be covered first in order to proceed logically.

    Yet I could ignore that problem because this book covers the second part of the title quite well. It helps the reader start on the journey from insecure and self-destructive thoughts to a more positive approach to life. The author nails down the benefits of having a healthy self-esteem; can be summed up in "allows us to enjoy life and have fun in general."

    What affects our self-esteem and confidence? For anyone coping with this issue, the book has lists which help to examine oneself. The author offers us this hope: "...there are ways to recover and rebuild yourself, no matter what the cause." The steps to take in this process are clearly covered. But they could've been more powerful and revelatory if the author had included some experiences, either her own or those of others, that illustrate the problem and working out the solution. I love the books written by working psychologists or therapists that often use these kinds of stories. This book lacks those.

    I think the strongest point is leading anyone who is in a deep struggle with self-esteem and confidence to seek experienced help from professionals in this field. There are also groups that meet regularly and share their struggles and victories. It would've have been helpful for the author to list more resources in this area.

    For the price, this book is a bargain and can serve one well in beginning recovery from addictions and a poor self-image. I recommend it.
