Just about when you think that you have heard it all in the Power Metal scene, albums like “Reborn In Fire” can really surprise you.
Empires Of Eden asked 8 singers to take part in this album: Zak Stevens (Savatage, Circle II Circle), Mike Vescera (Loudness, Yngwie Malmsteen), Steve Grimmett (Onlaught, Grim Reaper, Lionsheart,), Carlos Zema (Οutworld), Sean Peck (Cage), and three more who did the vocals on the debut album, as well as a 30 piece orchestra; Stu Marshall, the band’s mastermind, is on the guitars, bass and the production.
Authentic, pure and inspired Power Metal in the vein of Judas Priest and Helloween, very powerful songs, heavy guitars, Malmsteen-like solos in most parts and a thunderous rhythm section overall. Coherence is pretty difficult when there are so many people in a team, nonetheless, Empires of Eden did it just fine and the album is very interesting due to that, actually. Apart from the fact that each singer has left his personal mark with his special performance, the compositions are very good. It’s a great album and I think the band’s future will be even better.

Der Künstler über die CD
Zak Stevens is one of the feature artists on the upcoming album Reborn in Fire. After rising to legendary status as lead singer for Savatage and Circle II Circle as well as Machines of Grace, Zak is featured on a full-length song on the album. Zak’s vocals were recorded in Tampa, Florida by Mark Prator, who engineered the Savatage albums Edge Of Thorns and Handful of Rain. The album was mixed and mastered at Frontiers Studio in Sydney, Australia. From Zak Stevens: “It's an understatement to say that I had an amazing time working on the new Empires of Eden CD. Stu Marshall is a super-talented recording musician who really knows how to get the best performances out of the artists he works with. Stu asked me to write my own lyrics and vocal melodies to the song I appeared on (‘Prognatus Ut Obscurum’). That’s exactly how I like to do things, and that really allowed me to bring out more of myself on the composition. As a result I was able to give an all-round stronger performance, there's no doubt about it. Working with Stu was a fantastic experience for me. His vision for the overall spectrum of the album was stunning. I learned a lot... and that's what it's all about in the world of music and artist collaboration.”
Chris Ninni is one of the surprise stars of the melodic metal scene, sounding like a hybrid of “John Farnham / Joe Lynn Turner”, Chris’ incredible range and power have added a pure melodic touch to “Empires” and is sure to showcase Chris as one of the finest rock voices on the scene today.
Mike Vescera is one the feature artists on the upcoming album Reborn in Fire. Mike’s incredible voice has appeared on multiple albums for Yngwie Malmsteen and with Japanese metal giants Loudness. Mike is featured on a full length song on the album entitled ‘Of Light and Shadows’.
