Reach for Tomorrow was, like, THE best One Last Wish book I have ever read. I've read most of the One Last... books, and absolutly adore them. One of my fav. parts of this book was when Lacey decides to "serenade" the guys at 4 am. That was soo funny! I was touched at how Katie felt when Josh got hurt. I was worried that they would break up permenently. I mostly enjoyed the humor that ms. McDaniel added into the book. I was laughing through the whole entire book. But I think my fav. part was when Katie told her friends that she and Josh were getting married and that she wanted them to be her brides' maids. I was soo tickled! Again, I think this was the best work of Ms. McDaniel's yet. Jennifer
I absolutely loved this story, I could read it over and over again (and I have too). This was one of the best books yet and a perfect addition to the OLW series. Even if you haven't read all of them yet they are explained in the first chapters (I skipped that because I am an avid McDaniel fan and knew about them) I thought the chapel building was touching and the ending was the bomb. Katie and Josh are my favorite couple of any of the books (other than Ethan and Leah) and they belong together forever, keep up the good work Ms. McDaniel! And please come visit the Southern states on your tour...I've got a stack of books waiting to be signed...
This is a great book. I thought it was totally cool how Lurlene entertwined characters from other books at the Jenny House camp. It was interesting to read about how other plots to different One Last Wish novels wrapped up. Dawn Rochelle (from Six Months to Live and the other three books about her) would have been a cool character to add to the mix. I always wondered if Lurlene would write another book about her. As usual, someone dies in this book (I won't tell who), and Josh gets in a riding accident. Will he survive? What will happen to his relationship with Katie? A great read for a hot summer day.
I feel that my title says it all, if there were two more wonderful characters in this book (other than Chelsea and Lacey) I have yet to find them. There was a little sadness in this book, a little hurt, and a lot of love...it was a book good to read if you like a little of everything. And the three "new" characters in this book (they appeared in other books) added alot of character to the book, they were a good addition to the Jenny House characters. So, in all, if you like a little of everything, I'd read this book.
It concludes the OLW series. I love how characters from Mrs. McDaniel's previous books make an appearance here. It's too bad that she's retired. "Reach for Tomorrow" shows how much the characters have grown. Will Katie and Josh mend their broken relationship? Possibly. I didn't like that some more people died, but otherwise I loved this novel. However, I'd reccomend reading some of the other OLW books before you pick up this one, it helps you understand the events better.
Saying this book was good would be a vast understatment. Unfortunately, it seems to be the end of the One Last Wish series, though, and I sincerely hope this isn't really the case - there's still a lot Lurlene could do with this group of characters. She brings together characters from ALL of the one last wish books, back to Jenny House, as it's being rebuilt.. I won't say any more than that, but, if you've liked ANY of her books before, READ THIS ONE!
The way that the characters from previous OLW novels come together is spectacular! All of their lives are entwined for one summer. This is by far my most favorite OLW novel. It ties up the loose ends of some of her previous OLW books. I have read her books for a long time and have enjoyed every book. This book is a wonderful example of her writing abilities. I strongly recommend this book to anyone! Keep up the good work!
this book was soooo good and it was really cool the way lurlene wrapped together some of the stories that left unfinished endings. this was a wonderful way to end the one last wish series! it was so touching the way katie stuck by josh when he was hurt. it ended really well, but in a way I didn't expect it to! if you've read the other books in one last wish, this is a must read.
I thought it was really interesting how Lurlene found a way to have many of her characters from different stories into one story. Reach for Tomorrow tells you what happens to many characters. Reach for Tomorrow is both well written and interesting. If you like other Lurlene McDaniel books you will highly enjoy this one.
I think this was a very, very good book. The way Lurlene McDaniel incorporated a lot of her other One Last Wish characters into the story about Katie was terrific. The only trouble I had with the book was remembering all of her characters. It was very well done and I look forward to her next book, Angels of Mercy.
