Generally helpful, but disappointing

I am an electrical engineer and am new to RFID design. I was hoping this book would be a go-to source for all my questions on theory and application, but I've found it severely lacking, especially on the physical fundamentals. While it's useful for familiarizing yourself with topics pertaining to RFID systems and design, it is by no means a thorough or even successful assessment of the subject. Almost all of the provided formulas are given with little to no derivation or proof, and in an unacceptable number of circumstances, formulas are wrong or don't even make sense (missing fraction bars, conflicting units, etc.). Diagrams and figures are often not well annotated or explained.
It's worth thumbing through if you're new to the subject, but if you're looking for a good introduction, I suggest you pass this one up.
