Below is not a review of this book but is a summary of this book based solely upon the passages that I found most interesting as I read through it. Because of this you should get a fairly good overview of the main points brought forth in this very fine book although the flow of this summary is a bit rough.
You may have heard it said that "you achieve what you believe" and "that which you focus on expands." While these statements ring true, they're often relegated to the category of idealistic and somewhat impractical philosophy. But in reality, significant natural principles lie behind these concepts, compelling us to look more closely at the science behind them. Scientists from all over the world studying the physics of consciousness have widely accepted that our consciousness does indeed create reality.
Researchers of quantum physics have discovered that everything is made up of vibrating strings of energy. What was once considered to be solid matter is really composed of pulsating, energetic vibrations, which human will and consciousness have influence over. They shape the destiny of each individual, as well as the entire species. In fact, your future is taking shape right now!
In quantum physics, the uncertainty theory reveals that you live in a state of unending possibilities that are of your own making. The world exists in a constant state of flux where even a small shift in energy can create an immediate and far-reaching change in reality. You do have the power to create a different life. In fact, quantum physics reveals that you're at the very center of a world of unlimited power and potential. You don't have to go through your days just getting by and feeling dissatisfied any longer. The Universal Laws can completely turn things around.
Quantum physics demonstrates that great shifts of energy can occur in a single moment. This is true for your life, too-at every second, you're participating in the creation of your destiny. The energetic realm is always waiting to respond to your vibrations, so get ready to step into the future with new tools and more power than you ever thought you had. This is one science experiment you don't want to miss!
What seems like sorcery is actually the workings of the energetic world; what appears to be mystery is really the result of scientific patterns. Consciousness and energy are in perpetual motion, vibrating within and around you in an endless celebration of cause and effect-and this "magic" part of the process isn't even visible to the human eye. The unseen power of the Universe is no longer a mystical reference; it's a scientific truth. The mechanics of your mind reveal fascinating possibilities-not merely in the capacity to work out complex problems and learn new information, but an ability that transcends logic and actually moves into the realm of physical creation.
The first Law of Success, the Law of Manifestation, demonstrates how things come into being. In quantum physics, consciousness creates reality-and this applies to your personal world as well. Consciousness is always a choice. It's the choice to bring your awareness to the present moment, the decision to see and prioritize that which is truly important, that which is genuinely honoring and value enhancing in your life. Your constant question must be: "What am I focusing my consciousness on now?" And the question that follows is: "What might this consciousness be creating for me?"
The more emotionally charged an experience or issue is, the more power it generates. For this reason, a shift to more positive sentiments is a basic requirement of the Law of Magnetism. It's an energetic truth that the quality of your emotional life will determine the caliber of your life in general. In this the law is strict: The Universe will return your own joy, love, and happiness to you; and it will return your fear, anger, and unhappiness as well. It's impossible to have a pure desire when you're feeling desperate, because you're motivated out of fear rather than trust. But loosening your grip is the ultimate engagement in trust, both in the future and in yourself. It acknowledges your ability to create happiness for yourself no matter what happens.
This principle reveals exactly what happens when we allow urgency and need to become our major motivations. The desire for success is a natural and healthy endeavor, but it's our emotions around why we want it that determine its energetic nature.
We've become a "must-have" society: We see something advertised and we've got to get it. We notice our friends with a new item, and we have to possess it ourselves. We become absolutely driven by dissatisfaction when we don't have what we want, and we're willing to go into debt, lose time with our families, and work unending hours just to have more and more. But what happens while we're desperately waiting to get what we want? We're projecting a terribly unattractive energy, because not only do we feel dissatisfied, but we also feel deprived. This is a very serious mistake where the laws of energy and consciousness are concerned. When you give away today's happiness to embrace misery about tomorrow's uncertainty, you shut down your willingness to receive. You shift from a mentality of appreciation to a consciousness of lack and need-and when you make that choice, you lose your power to succeed.
Obsessing about what's missing in your life actually causes you to channel your energy into missing more! And if you're always complaining about what you don't have, it will only create more to whine about. You need to put your passion into experiencing how you want to feel right now so that you can magnetize more of that sensation in the future. This is called vibrational entrainment, and it's a must for being in harmony with this law. Think about the appreciation that you'll have at the fruition of your goals, and choose to feel that gratitude for what you have in your life right now.
Balanced thoughts aren't scattered or worried; they're calm, centered, and focused on the task at hand. This mental state starts with self-acceptance and moves on to equanimity with the vagaries of life. It may sound strange, but the kind of equilibrium that creates harmony comes from staying centered in two seemingly opposite intentions: taking complete responsibility and letting go of control.
To achieve real harmony, you must arrive at a place of equal acceptance for yourself and others, neither seeking their approval nor denying them yours. This is absolutely essential if you want to remove yourself from the destructive energies of conflict. You can't enlist help from the Universe if you're working against it, so your intention must be to seek unity instead of separation and to acknowledge similarities instead of differences. This isn't just an idealistic world view; it's a fundamental necessity if you truly want to create the energy to succeed.
It is our individual responsibility: to choose love in our own minds and lives, and in the lives of others, thereby accelerating the energy of caring in the world. If we don't, then hate and fear will accelerate instead. This isn't a function of the fields having any specific intention, because they're actually impartial. Just as gravity has no emotional investment in the literal ups and downs of our activities, the fields of love and hate are indifferent to how we deal with their influence in the world.
In fact, all the resources you'll ever need already exist within you. There are six truly dynamic personal powers that are a part of your nature and always available. You can utilize them in a conscious way to change everything you attract to your life, because ultimately, success comes from taking control. When you start to use your innate and often-neglected gifts, your life will take an entirely new direction.
The last important thing to release is attachment. When we look around, we can see all sorts of things that we may feel attached to-the pictures on the walls, the jewelry on our neck and hands, the furniture in the room, and the car in the driveway are all things that we take pride in owning. But the price of possession is attachment, and it's very easy to become too invested in having "stuff." In very subtle ways, this sends out a needy, hoarding type of energy, and the more stuff we have, the more it seems that we need.
This encourages the belief that material things have the power to make us happy. Unfortunately, whenever we think that something outside of us can bring us joy, we give away our power to do that for ourselves. We also set a precedent that keeps us striving-moving us dangerously close to the energy of desperation. One way to break free of this is to practice the art of surrendering by giving away something that you value. Bestow it on someone else with grace, generosity, and complete release. Doing these exercises will be a big help in engaging the Laws of Desire and Paradoxical Intent. Remember, the paradox is that when you release your attachment, you gain everything.
A positive experience in perception, imagination, and expectation (PIE) is absolutely necessary in your pursuit of success. Creating vivid dreams and pictures of what you want to achieve will bring them into fruition. But this piece of the consciousness PIE is so powerful that its influence doesn't stop there. There are documented cases where people with multiple personality disorder manifest varying diagnosable physical conditions when a different personality is "in control." Conditions such as diabetes and vision problems become physiological issues when a particular identity takes over. Even though the same body may have no such problem at other times, when it exists in the perception of the controlling personality, then it becomes a very real physical challenge.
This is the key to consciousness-created reality: What you observe to be true frames your awareness. Instead of staying stuck in your past view of things, you can now approach your life as a blank canvas. You can create a new picture, see things differently, and imagine everything around you in an entirely new way. In fact, this is the next important piece of your consciousness PIE.
As you make positive shifts in your perceptions, you'll find it easier and easier to fire up your imagination. I'm not just speaking about your ability to daydream and fantasize about your future; I'm referring to your ability to actually create mental images-living pictures of what you want your future to look like. This is a powerful skill when pursuing specific scenarios of success. Where processing mental imagery is concerned, the brain can't distinguish between present events and past memories. Nor can it tell the difference between what's vividly imagined and what's real. In fact, a number of physicists don't even believe that a single reality exists. The Many-Worlds Interpretation (MWI) suggests that several realities are going on all at the same time, and there are some scientists who believe that you can choose the one you want. This may sound like science fiction, but it only goes to show the unlimited possibilities of your life. You need to imagine all that you can experience! Don't limit yourself-to create it you must see it.
You must work on your goals but intend to trust; plan to live happy now. Whether you're weeding in the garden or doing the laundry, get out of your negativity and aim to see the potential for joy in each and every task. This is especially true in the pursuit of your dreams. Your intention for wealth-or any other good thing-must be pure, never driven by fear.
A positive consciousness and a trusting, optimistic purpose will create the magnetic resonance that draws your desires to you. You must surrender your need for your goal in order to magnetize it more quickly. This is achieved when you embrace your emotional intentions for happiness, success, and acceptance in the present moment.
Your intentions must be clear, unconflicted, and open to receiving. Maintain a strong vision of your goal and send it out before you. The Universe is waiting to fill your order, but you have to let it know what you want.
Each choice you make has two kinds of results: actual and energetic. Sometimes the actual results are easy to see. For example, if you keep overeating, you'll gain weight. That's the actual, physical result. But what's the energetic outcome? The resonance of the decision to overindulge is dishonoring, sending messages of self-dismissal and self-loathing, a resonance that's bound to attract people and situations who'll promote even more of those feelings.
Love is a very real power within both the Universe and individuals. It's an energy that can be deeply felt, not just romantically, but in every way; its strong, vibrating, creative force moves freely and fluidly throughout the world. When we align our own personal energy of love with this Universal current, there's nothing that we can't achieve.
Try this for yourself. The next time something comes up that you can't find an answer for, send love to it. When a problem arises with someone in your life, send love to them. Or even when nothing in particular is going on, just stop, close your eyes, and breathe in the word and its energy. This isn't just some fluffy, feel-good farce; it's real energetic power. Love changes your consciousness and frequency-and even your physiology. It activates your heart center like nothing else, fueling your emotional powerhouse. When you bring your heart and your head together in loving purpose, the river of abundance will flow right to your door.
Success isn't just a random occurrence that happens to a lucky few; it's a consciousness creation that comes from your personal alignment with the Universal Laws. What seems like chance is really energetic synchronicity, a process of entraining-or matching-your own vibration with that of the Universal flow. A constant stream of blessings is always available from that mighty river, and there's only one thing that can stop it from flowing in your direction-your own personal resonance.
The consciousness of living from the heart is the key to a spectacular destiny creation. Use your power of letting go to release your dissatisfaction, and harness your power of choice to cultivate your appreciation. Search for things to be grateful for throughout your life and deep within yourself. As you practice consistent and conscious appreciation, you'll not only see dramatic shifts in your daily happiness, you'll also see big changes in the long-term results of your life.
