Kurzbeschreibung

From the Late Prof. W J Bray
This is not a casual glossing over of subjects like a TV documentary, nor is it a narrative. There is some math involved, and the subject of Quantum Theory is a difficult one both to describe and to understand by scientists and laymen alike. The math presented is reduced to some basic algebra.
The purpose is to look at the evidence from a philosophical and religious perspective, as well as human perception and the deconstruction of various paradoxes and decide if the evidence is compelling toward the conclusion that we are not finite beings. This is not a discussion that suggests Quantum Physics is some route to the mystical, but a discussion that suggests we are not finite. We then look at the finite nature of our cosmos and conclude, if the evidence is compelling enough, that we are infinite beings merely perceiving a finite system.
That being said (from a teacher in Romania): Written by a Physicist whose expertise spans a wide range of fields, from Neuroscience Research to philosophy and religion, and who has also experienced multiple medically documented NDEs, the book suggests mathematically that reality, the Universe as we perceive it, can only exist interdependent with consciousness. Reviewing Quantum Physics from its founders’ definitions up to the latest research in the field, Bray explains in detail in language every layman can understand, provided commitment to do further research available on the WWW.
The text then goes on to describe how we interact with, manipulate and define the Universe, ultimately how we “paint the universe into being”, to use Bray’s own syntagm. He substantiates his theory with logical arguments and hard data that have been proven correct throughout a century of quantum research. After disproving beyond any reasonable doubt that consciousness is an artifact of the physical brain, by using experimental data and conclusions independently verified by leading researchers worldwide, Bray describes how consciousness creates the physical universe, how it is mathematically impossible that consciousness can be finite, and that the universe is. His conclusion that consciousness is unique for each individual is a natural outcome of his scientific, physics-based argumentation, as is the evidence that consciousness must be infinite and eternal in order to exist. We are perceiving this short, finite, physical life, while at the same time existing in the eternal consciousness, unaware of it, because we are focusing on this finite Universe as a mere perception. Bray’s purpose is not to “prove” God, but to show that each of us is a unique individual consciousness that exists beyond space-time, for infinity. He goes even further to identify the truths that have been enduring and immutable throughout centuries in philosophy and religion, by distilling them from myth and dogma. In addition, by doing this, he dismisses many paradoxes in physics, religions and philosophy. Bray succeeds in convincingly intersecting science and spirituality and showing that, contrary to cognitive beliefs which are prone to constant change, Faith is an immutable spiritual state. He has studied it not only as a scientist, but has also experienced NDEs first-hand, through recurrent cardiac arrests due to a severe medical condition that brought him repeatedly to the brink of death. Thus, the NDEs are described from the perspective of a rigorous scientist who refrains from including any biased description of them. His arguments are unambiguous, devoid of metaphor or uncertainty and the book is by no means an ideological argument or exploration, although it is at odds with almost everything written to date; Bray’s claims are substantiated with solid mathematical axioms. ‘Quantum Temporal Dynamics,’ (not related to other material using that name) is included at the end of the book, re-exploring quantum theory from scratch, and detailing mechanisms for faster- than- light travel using current technology

I am a Physicist and Chemist by education. I have been working as a Physicist and Pharmaceutical Research Chemist for over twenty years now. Most of this research and work has been conducted under highly regulated FDA, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practice, and even Nuclear Regulatory Agency environments with strict controls. My areas in Industrial Pharmaceutical Research include nuero-science, neuropsycho-pharmaceutics, Drug Metabolism and Pharmako Kinetics, Isotopic (atomic) incorporation of stable and unstable atomic isotopes into biologically active compounds as well as biologically active peptides and proteins, peptide chemistry, protein chemistry, biochemistry, analysis and structural confirmation of biological materials, analysis and structural confirmation of small molecules, analysis, structural confirmation and isotopic incorporation of biologically active compounds, theory, operation, and design of Mass Spectrometric, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, and Positron Emission technologies, theory, principle, and design of radio frequency and Near Field Effect photon and virtual photon emission and re-absorption, virtual particle production and annihilation, Quantum Electro Dynamic Vacuum Effects; The ancillary knowledge and experience to perform these tasks is too vast to list. I have worked for organizations such as SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceutical Research, Merck Research Labs, served as a consultant for the Central Intelligence Agency (contractor), served as a consultant to the Transportation Security Administration, served as a consultant to the Department of Homeland Security, Johnson & Johnson R&D, consulted for a number of small research firms on the topics of Mass Spectrometry, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Applications Neuroscience, Isotopic Labeling and Detection, and a number of subjects ancillary to both Physics and Pharmaceutical Research. I am first and foremost a Physicist, and I deal primarily with Quantum Physics. I have worked for the past twenty some odd years as a Pharmaceutical Research Chemist, specializing primarily in neuro-science. My background in Physics and Science including all of the biological and cognitive sciences is quite extensive. I have, myself, experienced numerous NDEs, which are briefly discussed but not described in the book. I chose not to write about the ineffable, but about that which you can see with your own eyes.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Walks the Walk 5. September 2012
Von Amazon Customer - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

This book delivers exactly what is promised. The author makes extraordinary claims but provides extraordinary proof.

There is no arbitrary Occam's Razor conclusions. Everything he claims, he proves.

Every negative review on this book is either about the writing style or an outright misunderstanding. In order to to negate anything the author says, it is necessary to disprove it and that has not been done.

As to the style complaints: This is not a story book. It isn't "literature". The author clearly states that there are spelling errors. This is a quantum physics textbook, not a spelling book.

The author makes absolutely NO MONEY from the sale of this book. All funds are donated to animal charities and he explains exactly why he isn't selling it for profit, (or fame... he uses a pen name).

I was turned off by the language the very first time I read the introduction. About halfway through the first part of the book (and viewing it with complete skepticism) I realized that the author had a very clear purpose. He is not making claims of what he believes, he is stat a scientific hypothesis. There is NO ROOM in science for equivocation or pandering to the audience.

When I went back to re-read I realized that he isn't arrogant, he is precise and to the point. There is no 'convincing' or 'believing' his statements. Each one stands proven using established scientific laws.

The reason I say proven is because he provides all the mathematical proof in straightforward manner (even *I* understood the math and I failed calculus!) It's not even higher math. It is simple arithmetic.

If you are expecting a novel about the afterlife, this is not your book. He doesn't use his 30-plus medically documented cardiac arrests to paint a picture of heaven for you. He is a scientist and this is a science book.

However... After the first part of the book is complete, the author provides beautiful accounts of how God interacts with our lives, and he provides a tear-jerking account of his beloved dog that shows how all life has the capacity to show unconditional love.

So, if you are looking for scientific proof that this universe is not "real" and you are willing to do the simple math which proves it, then THIS IS YOUR BOOK. The work is not difficult. In fact it only involves thinking critically.

The author makes it absolutely clear that anyone can challenge or attempt to disprove his theories, but so far, amazingly, in the midst of much irrational criticism, nobody has ever presented evidence to refute his claims that are based on math and physics.

If you are like me and have a working knowledge of quantum physics (not that hard, I promise) but are looking for an inspirational book, THIS IS YOUR BOOK.

Some people are put off by "NDE" in the title. Don't be. The author explains the circumstances of his NDEs but as a scientist he does not elaborate on their "meaning" to support any of his claims.

The ONLY two hypotheticals in this book (which are clearly stated to be hypotheticals) are the potential of Planck-scale traversable wormholes as a mechanism for information flow. This is a hypothesis and the author clearly states that. The second hypothesis deals with using a phased-array mechanism to observe an Alcubierre Manifold. Again, hypothetical, and orthogonal to the main thesis.

Don't read this book because of my review. Don't avoid it because of a negative review.

IT IS ONLY THREE BUCKS! If you buy it and read it and think it is ludicrous, then delete it from your Kindle and I will send you three bucks so you can go on your merry way.

Here's the "walk the walk" part. The author puts his email address in the book and on the website. I had a TON of questions and I emailed them and he emailed back literally within minutes. He is a busy guy, don't get me wrong, but the fact that he answers questions from readers AND makes no money from the book? Are you kidding me?

Just read the damn book. It won't bite you, I promise

5.0 von 5 Sternen Religion you can believe in. 12. September 2011

I was raised as a fundamentalist Christian, but had to reject it due to its anti-intellectual nature, complete disregard for facts, and idolatrous worship of a book. William Bray makes me long for a Christian community, that was actually spiritual, and also looked for facts. Yes, there are typos in the book, but this is an amazing review of Quantum Physics that goes side-by-side with experiential faith experiences. I'm understanding of, but also perplexed by the science community's disregard for phenomenological experiences. After all, it only takes one white crow to prove that all crows are not black. I may not understand this entire book, or agree with all of the conclusions, but I think it's fantastic that Mr. Bray has arrived at scientific facts/theory that explain the white crows (NDE, OBE, and other healing processes).

I also think that it's great that Mr. Bray includes his own personal experiences. It reminded me of an episode of the fantastic show "Closer to Truth" where a physicist talked about how his personal experiences in meditation made him change his world view. I would give this 5 stars, were it not for the typos. I will be contemplating this book for a long time. I would probably participate in Christianity again, if Bray's views were embraced by any non-new-age church.

I received a new e book that was edited well. I am upgrading my review to 5 stars.

5.0 von 5 Sternen ORIGINAL WORK 26. Oktober 2011
Von Dina Valencia - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Review by Dina Grutzendler

William Joseph Bray, creates the book around the double-slit experiment that proved

that matter and energy can display characteristics of both waves and particles

The light (wave) when measured, collapses into particle (photon), which is the same

than saying that consciousness would be like the light-wave eternal infinite that

by observing, collapses into finite particles. Matter would only exist when

observed by consciousness , while consciousness remains everywhere, at all

times, infinite and eternal. This is derived from a proven experiment made by

precise physics

That is why when we are confined to the collapsed finite universe, which we observe

from our consciousness, we live with limited perceptions in measured time and space.

But when we abandon the collapsed universe and return to our infinite eternal

consciousness, past, present and future are simultaneous .

The author knows this because he lived it, through his many near-death experiences

So we have here a unique opportunity to be in touch with a physicist, who at the same

time has "traveled" to the "other world" and returned, to offer us his experience, and

analyze it with his knowledge as scientist.

He also teaches us methods of his design,to heal. Due to his experience as a musical

instruments teacher, he knows that practice will ultimately lead you to success.

He has cured doggies, with the respect he feels for "all life", including these little but

loving souls.

After following the difficult and complex path of physics he arrives at the conclusion

that the ultimate truth of God is love and wisdom.

If you slowly read this book, and concentrate, you will have a new experience about how

to live your life

One of a kind

I got sucked in immediately. This is some of the most original thinking I've ever encountered--and I read a lot. Plus, it's just fun to read--you will never be able to guess all the twists and turns coming your way as you go through this book. Just wait. And try not to bawl your eyes out at the end. Good luck.

As some have stated, the book is repetitive, b/c it's designed as a teaching manual. I didn't mind too much though b/c the material about quantum physics is very difficult to grasp. In fact, I have read other books about quantum physics and was mostly lost the whole time. Bray's book would be a gem even if it only included his explanation of QP. But there is tons more to absorb, imbibe and ponder. This is stuff you just aren't going to find anywhere else. This is stuff I have been looking for, for years.

Many complain about grammar mistakes and typos in this book. Apparently there is a new, professionally edited version available on Kindle. But for me, it wasn't a big deal. Typos only slowed me down milliseconds, and there were perhaps 15-20 times in the whole book I had to pause and reread a sentence b/c of bad grammar. I know it doesn't meet professional standards, but lighten up people--it's wasn't a big deal.

And actually, I cringed when I heard the book was edited. I haven't seen the new version, but I imagine it's going to put you one step further away from the author. Unfortunately, a lot of times sounding "professional" means sounding like everyone else. I believe there is much flavor, feel and insights that come from reading a more raw version of the book. The author is not so hidden--you get a good feel for whom he is. Which, in this book, is a good thing. But I am speculating here--I haven't seen the new version.

The author has crystal clear thinking through most of the book. It amazed me how simple (and irrefutable) some of his arguments are that dismantle entire philosophies and life works. But logic is logic. Beautiful stuff. I was surprised toward the end when the author seemed to start sliding away from this, especially when talking about religion. It could be I misunderstood, but it seemed like he was too quick to dismiss, with too much finality, certain conclusions or other possibilities. There's a couple things I'd like to ask him about.

I saw another book by Bray, called Autobiography of an Ordinary Man, or something like that. But I didn't see any info on it. Anyone read this? What is it about?

I'm an INTP, if that means anything to you, and this book was right up my alley. Intellectually stimulating, thought provoking, challenging, encouraging, and inspiring. I have never read a book like this one.

I actually want to reread the whole book...but I have to admit the repetitiveness is offputting. Maybe the author could publish a condensed version w/out the repetitive element. For the rereaders or the more studious types that actually will highlight and go back to reread. Or maybe I'll cut up a copy and make one myself. Well, just a thought.

Keep up the Good Work Bill.

I have spent a lifetime searching for answers that would reconcile the yearning of my soul for spiritual enlightenment and the need for hard scientific proof of my logical brain. For years I have intuited that there is more to us than the anatomy and physiology of our brains and that there is more beyond this tangible universe. I have read hundreds of (science, philosophy, and religion) books looking for edification, but to little avail. There were always some loose ends that left me with belief systems but little faith.
Like many other readers of Mr. Bray's book I was attracted by its title. To be honest I didn't expect much, as the scope of the book seemed much too ambitious to be of any value. But I read it anyway! And wow! Was I in for a surprise! Although, by no means, exhaustive on any of the topics he is tackling, by the time I finished it all loose ends seemed to tie up nicely together. While reading it I did what Mr. Bray is urging his readers to do throughout the book: don't trust me, check for yourselves. And by diligently poring over all the books and links he provides as reference, I reached a whole new level of understanding and insight. And then a miracle occurred: a shift from belief to faith!
Mr. Bray's book is a springboard into the realm of spiritual quest and edification. If you dare jump you might break your neck, but then you might also reach beyond the stars.
This may not be the best written book you have read, it may be in dire need of some editing, but having read both the edited and the raw edition, I must tell you I much prefer the latter. It shows the author at his most vulnerable, but my feeling was that I started reading Mr. William Bray's book and ended up knowing Billy.
