Kurzbeschreibung

From USA TODAY Bestselling Author, C. L. Stone, read Push and Shove, the sixth book in The Academy Ghost Bird Series.
Sang Sorenson struggles with her growing feelings when the Academy boys take her in and draw her closer into their world. They work together to uncover the true secrets happening at Ashley Waters High School, where Principal Hendricks will stop at nothing to take them all down.

Adding to their complications, Nathan's father shows up, and he's just as ruthless and violent as ever, beating up on Nathan. Sang offers Nathan refuge in her home, but Marie is fed up with the boys. She wants them out--all of them--and wants them to take Sang with them. Where will Sang go? What will happen to Nathan? And what about Mr. Hendrick's spies, watching all of them?

Kota, Victor, Silas, Nathan, Gabriel, Luke and North will have to focus to get out of this mess, but with Sang assisting them, they're struggling to keep control. They all promised not to make a move on Sang unless she initiates, but the tension is driving them all to distraction. With the help of Dr. Green and Mr. Blackbourne, they will have to stay strong and engaged. But A first kiss is imminent, and will cost them all more than they could ever have imagined.

The Academy, Endlessly Steadfast

5.0 von 5 Sternen Loved it!! 11. Februar 2015
Format:Kindle Edition
So, I literally just finished this book and the FEELS! This series just seems to be getting better and better. *fangirling*

Dr Sean Green! You cheeky flirt! So cute though and it was perfect! I almost wanted to be Sang Sorenson in that moment! I just… my life! I wish I was part of this fictional world of hot guys, academy secrets and Ashley Walters High School!

Mr Blackbourne – Swoon. I feel like we are getting to know him more and more and I feel like he is one of those characters that you just wish was real. I think he is officially the cutest member of the family ever. I love the fact that he is starting to include Sang more and more in Academy stuff by taking her out on tailing missions and including her in the conversations between himself and Dr Green over dinner. It is like they are officially merging as a group without actually making it official with the Academy.

There were times when I felt like screaming because of some of the things that were happening. Jade. I hate her. She is one of those characters that you just have to hate. She doesn’t even have a redeeming quality! She is one of those. I am glad that we finally found out where the JH14 was coming from though and her motivation even seems legit. I just feel like if she was a nicer person she may actually get the attention that Sang gets.

There is something funny with Karen, though. She always seems to be in the right place at the right time to pull Sang out of trouble. Maybe she is watching Sang without her knowing about it? Or maybe she is Volto…even though we have heard nothing more from this character in this book. Either way, for me she seems a little bit suspicious and there is just something about her that I don’t trust.

This plot is keeping me hooked and I just want all of the rest of the series to come out all at once so that I can carry on straight away!

Do you really have to read a review for this book???

I DON'T THINK SO - it's a C. L. Stone book = the Ghost Bird Series = A MUST READ

Finally Sang gets a bit more courageous with the boys

the scene with North - OMG - had to read it a few times (did he really..? - I think he did...)

Oh Nathan, don't go THAT way

Von white roses - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

If you're a big fan of this series like I am you could probably rate this book 5 stars before even reading it, but I pulled an all-nighter (couldn't stop if I wanted to) and wanted to point out some things that I loved about the book...

So, let's see here....

- The guys? Getting more swoon worthy than ever.
(Love their protectiveness)

- The bad guys? Well they're just a whole other different definition of meanie >:/
(wanna punch them)

- Dr. Sean and Mr. Blackbourne were definitely the enigma for me and I'm glad I got to see more of them and how their relationship with Sang is growing

- Um, the first kiss? All I can say is YES. Definitely loved it. I was sittin' here like, "omg, it's gonna happen. omg,it's gonna happen" so many times that when it did I was surprised and delighted!

- North and Sang? That was HOT.

- Mr. Blackbourne after dinner and in the morning? SOO STINKIN' CUTE. <3 <3 <3
(I really wanna see him give a full blown smile or having "LOL" fits like Green :) But then again.. that millimeter smile is sexy.)

- There were actually two times that I found myself gettng teary-eyed. They were the scenes where Sang was.

- When I got towards the end, I was cussing at the book. How dare that person(s)!!!!

- Aw, Nathan <3 Gabriel! Silas! And the others :) They care so much for Sang.

- Marie... Sigh. So misguided and sort of lost.

- I found I kinda like Jay. For now. And can Wil be my nerdling?

- You can see that if Sang wanted, she could make friends.

- Everyone is asking who is with sang. Everyone can eff off. :)

- Sang is getting great at challenging the boys and I find myself smiling a lot through it :) I love it when she leaves them speechless.

I'll be re-reading this book again very soon. Can you say book hangover to the max?

Do you still like me? Yes.

3.0 von 5 Sternen Mixed feelings...still love the series overall! 3. Juni 2014
Von Ames - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verifizierter Kauf
So, I am the giant nerd who reread the entire series this weekend in preparation for the release of this book. I love the earlier books. They are just full of fun and make me smile like a moron when I read them. I was super psyched to read this one. But it was kind of lacking in comparison to the previous books. This is not to say that this isn't a good book. It is, but it lacks the brilliance that I know the author is capable of because of the previous books.

For example it has a something of a problem with continuity. In the previous books, we have seen Sang grow and change in certain ways and in this book it is as if she has regressed rather seriously, especially at the beginning...the whole tone of the narration is just off. And frankly, Sang isn't as convincing in this book, she just comes across as somewhat weak and stupid, which has never been the case before.

I think this book was kind of busy as well. The earlier ghost bird books just dwell richly on moments of friendship and while this book had some of that, it just seemed as if they were trying to stuff a little of everything into the book instead of focusing on a few of the relationships and letting us see them grow in depth. What I have loved the most about this series are the characters and their relationships, and it seemed like some of the depth that I have come to expect was lost in a flurry of more shallow interactions between the characters...perhaps in the pursuit of furthering the romantic aspects of those relationships too quickly.

Also, our long awaited kiss was a little disturbing, even while being super sweet and cute...

Anyways, I still really enjoyed the book and if you have been reading the series, you absolutely must read it.

5.0 von 5 Sternen C.L Stone had done it again!!!!!! 1. Juni 2014
Von Amazon Customer - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

I have done it yet again. I have devoured another one of C.L's books within 3 hours. She has succeeded in making each new book in this series better than the one before. This book has much more drama than you can ever imagine. To make this easier, I'm going to name off some characters and summarize their role in this book.

Sang: Sang has been one of my favorite characters in the book. She is assertive, hard-working, and strong, mentally and physically. She deals with a lot of drama in this book. Between Rocky drama, Mr. Griffin, Jade, and much more, she has loads of problems to deal with. It pains me to say that she deals with some hard situations and uncomfortable decisions, but she will get through them, not without scars and bruises though. As some might know, this is the book in which Sang gets her first kiss....Let's just say the kiss won't disappoint any readers. Just know everyone will get their kiss. Okay, moving on..

Nathan: Nathan is the main character in the book and also my favorite for this book. When his dad comes back he has to learn to stand up for himself and fight back a little. Nathan struggles to convey his feelings to Sang in this book also. He doesn't want to hurt her but he finds out how she feels in one of the bad situations that happens to her. He will rise to the occasion as the main guy for this book.

Kota: I'm sad to say that you don't see much of him in this book. Luckily, no drama happens involving him in this book. Although he is not in this book a lot, he does have a nickname for her. ;)

Victor: I seriously love Victor. (DON'T CONTINUE IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE OTHER BOOKS) As you know since he admitted his love to Sang in the last book, he is more in sync with his feelings for her. He continues to spoil her and treat her like a "princess".

North: North has good parts just this book. He finally gets to take her out on that date. (That's all I'm gonna say.............)

Silas: Silas is pretty popular at their school. He is supposedly the one dating Sang and he tries to claim her as best as he could so she doesn't get any trouble with the guys. Silas will have some punches to throw around....Don't worry.....it will be epic. ;)

Luke: Luke oh Luke! I am seriously in love with him. He is the best. He has some good roles in her but not the biggest......

Gabriel: Gabriel doesn't have too much roles but he will get some fun time with Sang.....

Mr. Blackbourne: I believe every book we read, every time we get a little more of him. He is like a onion. You keep peeling and peeling. One layer= one book. He opens up a little more.

Sean aka Dr. Green: Sean gets a lot of roles in this book. He and Sang connects a lot more. Let me just tell you know.....He will do something unexpected but not what you think. or maybe it is. Teehee.

Other characters:
Rocky: Stirs up some trouble... So does..
Danielle
Marie
Jade (You'll find out something disturbing about her)
Will: He gets literally one part in the book. Oh and it is good.
Karen: She will help Sang out in some hard situations
Jay: Not as bad as you think
Overall, this book is very good. The books before have been almost a little more tender and fragile. It was as if they were glass. Something could go wrong and BOOM it shatters! This book feels more real and solid. I am finally getting a taste if the real life of the Acadamy. Oh and if you have read The Thief just know you'll see some of them on and off in the book. Once again I strongly recommend this book. It is worth the four dollars that you planned to use at McDonald's. So worth it!! This isn't a book in the series you can skip. Don't even try. I swear once you read it you will love it.
Btw, if your not a fan of the reverse harem thing going on than don't read. (I honestly don't understand when people leave a bad review when they know it's going to be centered around that) Anyways, I hope you enjoy the much as I did. I really whole heartedly did!!

This time around there is a little bit more intertwining with the Scarab Beetle series, Ms. Stone also writes. Corey and Axel make very brief appearances, and the synth drug JH14 plays a larger role in the high school. Sand finally gets her first kiss (no spoilers on from whom!) and gets a bit of an explanation of her future with the boys and why they do what they do with her, but I’m still a bit frustrated by her naivete, even if we can blame that on step-mom never signing the sex-ed form.

So much drama happens that it’s no wonder she forgets to eat and is exhausted. Another one of the boys figures out he may love her, but isn’t quite willing to go the sharing route. It could and will get even more complicated, I’m sure. I hate waiting for series to complete. At least this set is self pubbed and not being drug out for a year between each one, like a traditional publisher would. I think I’d bail to wait for the whole thing and then never get it because sales would drop. I hate for summer to go too quickly, but I'm ready for fall releases!

1.0 von 5 Sternen Save the girl...keep as a pet for heavy petting 17. November 2014
Von Yarny - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

I too was I was really into this series. I did enjoy the stereotype characters (personality traits per boy) and wanted to know how the boys would grew and changed from having this one girl in their group. Still I have seen this plot before in the Anime “Ouran High School Host Club”. Each book starts with nice point to the story then weakens half way through.
The more I read I got more Stockholm syndrome (feelings of trust or affection felt in certain cases of kidnapping or hostage-taking by a victim toward a captor). The girl is never helped to gain her independence with all the Academy resources, instead Sang is keep as a pet for heavy petting by each of the affection starves boys of the team.
I finally had enough when the grown men start being way to affectionate toward a lost abused high school girl.
I even tried C. L. Stone’s spin off thinking it would change the formula some...NOPE!
FORMULA: Girl in bad circumstances, "saved" by team of mystery “trust us” spy boys lead/guided by a man who can get all other adults to believe anything yet cannot call the police.
Still I have to admit I like C. L. Stone’s writing for a quick YA read. Still I hope she moves away from victim equals sexy or save the girl just to have her “for the team”.
