HASH(0x934c7180) von 5 Sternen First NFC Android book, totally worth it 3. Mai 2013
Von Christian - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

The book is very clear in the concepts it presents.
And the code works, something that is not so common with Android books (or at least this is my experience).
I was impressed to learn that the Istanbul lab is one of the leading (some say the leading) lab when it comes to NFC.
Keep up the good work

HASH(0x934c73cc) von 5 Sternen Good enough but not for beginners. 12. Februar 2014
Von Dian - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Taschenbuch Verifizierter Kauf
The way author wrote is obviously not for beginners. Well, Im a beginner, luckly, I have read other books.
Chapter 1 and 2 cover about theory of NFC and its application. Since I have research about this, so most of the knowledge I knew already. Chapter 3 and 4 the author explained about android programming in general but when I compared with other android programming books, this one is not communicative.
However, If you notice, currently there are not many books explaining specifically about NFC programming. Hopefully in future, many authors share their knowledge about this new trend technology.
But I believe if you have familiar with android programming this book should help you a lot.

Not much here that you cant get reading Googles android docs
I was expecting better examples, especially on the non standard stuff like NFCv etc
A good threading example when writing to the tag, and some stuff about working around the various know bugs
HASH(0x934c7684) von 5 Sternen Good but would have been better with NFC tag. 18. Dezember 2014
Von Armando Padilla - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Taschenbuch Verifizierter Kauf
Let me start off by saying, if you're a person that learns by doing and not simply by reading the material, buy a NFC tag before you purchase this book. I gave it 3 stars because of that. The book has good examples and you'll be able to follow a few complex things with in the NFC space but putting it all into practice while reading this book, out side of programming the examples, that will not happen without a NFC tag of your own. I feel as if the publisher should have enclosed a free NFG tag just to make this a truly complete package. Aside from I read the book a bit differently. Read chapters 4-9 and then went back to the initial chapters.
HASH(0x934c76e4) von 5 Sternen Very clear and useful 19. August 2013

All material in a book is about topic. For beginners several basic information blocks about Android and other needed stuff.
Examples and sources without errors and compilable.

I could recommend this book for developers who need practical examples which demonstrate NFC technology stack.
