Format:Taschenbuch|Von Amazon best�tigter Kauf

As far as current, advanced level PHP manuals on the market, this is the best I've found yet. This title stands head and shoulders over Sitepoint's PHP Master: Write Cutting Edge Code. That title was packed with nothing but shallow explanations and overly simplistic code examples, fitting only for Window Shoppers. I've read similar complaints about Wrox's Expert PHP and MySQL.

Pro PHP Programming gives a fair explanation of most of the topics covered in the book and the code examples are much more practical than the likes of Sitepoint's PHP book. I do feel Pro PHP does suffer from some of the Window Shopper syndrome. There were a couple of chapters in the middle that I was losing interest in. Though the book really finished strong with its chapters on XML parsing and creation, AJAX and JSON, and regex. I was VERY pleased with these chapters.

Though I feel there's a bit upcoming competing titles could improve upon, Pro PHP Programming is the best book in its category.

This book would be good for someone with a moderate amount of PHP knowledge who is looking to learn more. Not for beginners or advanced. The book is a bit pricy and at times seemed like just information that can be found online for free.

I was hustled by the title of "Pro PHP Programming" ...Thinking that if I read it I would be a PHP pro. haha
