Workflow is a set of activities through which a piece of work passes from initiation to completion where these activities might be executed by a human or a system. Workflow provides a way of describing order of execution and dependent relationships between pieces of work. Understanding of workflow is increased by displaying it graphically. Windows Workflow Foundation is a key part of WinFX, providing universally accessible and consistent workflow technology for the Windows platform. Windows Workflow Foundation delivers an API as part of WinFX and a workflow designer hosted in Visual Studio 2005. Presenting Windows Workflow Foundation is intended to hit shelves as WinWS is announced. The book will give programmers a sense of what is possible with this new technology in a way that gives them simple examples and an easy reading style. It is not intended to cover all aspects of the technology but rather to give developers a confidence that they know enough to use WinWS in a future development project and to give them the understanding to know when that is appropriate. The net is we want to impart information for software architects to do appropriate technology selection and we want to provide an easy introductory how-to for developers trying it out.

If you are looking for high-level concepts and architecture of Windows Workflow Foundation, then this book is good. However, many of the concepts and APIs featured in the book are not present in the current beta (2.0).
Do not get this book if you are JUST looking for relevant code samples. Instead, visit http://msdn.microsoft.com/workflow. Get this book if you need to understand basic WWF concepts.

The only available book on windows workflow -- unfortunately

The book presents Windows Workflow Foundation. It covers all aspects of this new framework, from using out-of-the-box activities to creating new ones or creating a new hosting environment.
You should read this book for the high level information, not the code. The API in the newer versions of WWF has changed substantially and most of the code is obsolete.
The biggest problem I have with this book is the quality (or lack thereof) of the English. The book is filled with spelling and grammatical errors.
I would recommend waiting for a better book unless you need to know more about WWF immediately.

Good complement to the SDK

I found this book a very good complement to the SDK, because the SDK doc lacks explanation on many areas, and the book gives good background info on many topics.
The only thing I don't like is the use of VB.Net as examples in the book.
