I am a UK Physics Teacher... a rare breed! I promote this book to my students along the liones that they will be guaranteed a good pass at GCSE regardless of ability. Special interest should be taken in completing question 1 of each chapter; this ensures u understand the chapter contents. The manner in which the book is written is easy to read and is accurate well above 90% of the time. It provokes a lot of interest and can be used fro 11 to 16 years of age which for the money is a good 4 to 5 year investment.
A good supplementary text for introductory physics...

...information is provided in short, clear sentences and supplemented with appropriate, colorful, and interesting illustrations...the physical layout of the information and illustrations on the page is appealing to the eye...included within each topic and scattered over each page are simple, easy to do experiments; although some of them require special equipment, most don't...at the end of each chapter is a series of questions that require not only the usual problem solving but also demand the student to explain why and how of the point being interrogated...
