Dieses Buch ist in der Hauptsache an Zauberkünstler gerichtet, die ihre Kunst nicht so bierernst sehen. Das heißt nicht, dass das Material nicht allererste Sahne wäre. Wer nicht nur Kunststücke der Marke "Zuschauer-zieht-Karte.Zauberer-findet-sie" zeigen möchte, sondern auch mal mit der Bible, Coladosen oder Sofortbildkameras arbeiten möchte, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Beim Leser sollte auch eine Vorliebe für bitterböse Scherze vorhanden sein - sonst könnte das moralische Befinden verletzt werden. Das Buch ist wirklich witzig, ja rotzfrech geschrieben, und bietet Unterhaltung pur. Lesenswert auch für die, die nicht Zaubern wollen, sondern einfach mal herzhaft lachen wollen. Im Stil ist es Harry Andersons "Wise Guy - From the Street to the Screen" sehr ähnlich.

After rereading his brilliant, unexpectedly moving essay "In the Muetter Museum," which is featured in this book, I'm beginning to think so. Of course there's also Penn to deal with, and his trademark in-your-face crassness gives a distasteful edge to this compendium of tricks, stunts and random prose entertainments. I have a feeling P&T may have shot their wad with "How To Play With Your Food," which is their finest book to date (and unfortunately out of print now.) There's nothing in this to rival the glowing pickle, the Satanic tortilla, or that incredible story about Penn and the milkshake. But it is P&T, and thus sacred and beloved of all fans of cutting-edge entertainment, and a worthy contribution to the literature of the skeptical movement.

Good reading & Good tricks

a good trickster book
It was intresting. I thought it was cool how you can trick people that simply, but not be caught. it was perfect in every way since all the tricks you can actually do.
