I have motored through four books about Disney, including Birnbaum (which I recommend IN ADDITION to this book) and this is the very best one I have come across yet. They have so many tips in here I was just making notes out of other books but this one I marked full blown pages. They have so much information in here I was totally blown away. I love the fact that they have a big group of Pass Porters to help keep the books current and add any new little things that might come up. What is so great about this book is that you see what thist family looks like. They have real photos of themselves in the park, as well as many photos contributed by fellow Pass Porters.
The super best thing about this book is that they have average waiting times to get from your resort to each Disney Park, plus Downtown Disney. That is in none of the other books I have come across. The second super best thing about this book is all the journal things you can do to record your trip and having the pockets for various things you will need to hang on to, such as receipts.
My only fault for this book is that they did not mention exactly how claustrophobic Mission Space is. I read that in multiple other things and it is very apparent if you get the WDW vacation DVD from Disney themselves. I realize to some people if they are not claustrophobic they would not understand, but I would think that is something to mention.
However, I do not see that one little niggly point a reason not to get this book. Your family will thank you for how well informed you are. I do also recommend the Birnbaum WDW 2012 book in conjunction to this one, just because there are somethings covered in there that are not covered in this book and vice versa. I also think Birnbaum has some tables that are more helpful than this book. I think if you want to maximize the time you have at "The World" you should get as much knowledge as possible and if you can only get one book, I would definitely say this one.
